Great selections of pizza and cheap beers - a perfect combination for a local bar. It is a small town bar but it was hard to believe how much cheaper everything was compared to even other places nearby. Nothing fancy and great place to hang out with people.

It's always nice to sit at a no smoking table and smell cigarettes while you eat. I've always heard this place had good food, but I felt it was pretty basic. Doubt I go back for the food.

Cocktails and food are great. We sat outside mid afternoon, UT was a nice chill atmosphere. Definitely going back, the dumplings are fire.

We did a shareable appetizer with half fried mushrooms and half onion rings. For lunch I had the rveye sandwich and my friend had the chicken salad. Both were excellent. The waiter was very attentive. We will be back.

Nice local gathering place. Comfortable, homey setting, great staff and appetizers.

Bartenders (over the age of 35) actively talk about patrons in-front of them. I still tipped because I thought it was sad and I’m 24. I don’t even live in Illinois it’s crazy how they treat people.

Esquire is a great place to play pool. The overall vibe is pretty nice. It isn't somewhere I'd go to get food, but they are open late, so if you really need something and you're out late it could work.

Food was very good, though they were completely out of soup (of all flavors), which was disappointing, but didnt spoil the experience! Definitely worth a stop if youre in the area!

Atmospheres are comfortable relaxed lounge. Food was excellent, high quality, tasty and hot when it was served. Food came fairly quickly when they were busy. The waiter was on it! Kept bringing us drinks and checking on us constantly. We did not go there for alcohol, just food and it was perfect!! The food was cheap compared to most restaurants! Kid friendly up until 9:00 p.m.!!!!Kid-friendliness: They're kid-friendly up until 9:00 p.m. when I believe there is a Champaign city ordinance that requires kids to be out of select establishments downtown that serve alcohol.

I was at the Esquire as part of a private group. They did a nice job of reserving space for us and providing wait staff. Food and drinks were great and the staff were very friendly and efficient. Very hard working staff. Our group had a great time.

Met up with a friend to have a meal and a meet. We sat outside in the beer garden, which was nice. The server was attentive and friendly. The Esquire being a bar, the meal was bar food. But it was good bar food, and inexpensive, too.I had a turkey burger with chips and an unsweetened iced tea to drink. Normally, I put Splenda in unsweetened iced tea to sweeten it, but this tea did not need it. The tea was light, refreshing and not bitter. The turkey burger was also very good. It was juicy and well seasoned, avoiding a common problem with burgers made from white meat fowl. The only downside was the chips were too salty for me, but I don't blame them for that. I'm sensitive to salt levels.I had a great time, with great food. I will be back.
