Love this restaurant. We try to dine at Hamilton Walkers every time we come to visit our son at college. Food is always amazing and at a great price point for an upscale dining experience. Fantastic ambiance, service and location. The cocktail shrimp and bacon wrapped dates appetizers are recommended. As are there steaks and fish and meat loaf and garlic mashed potatoes. Really can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

One of the best meals I have had in a very long time! My fillet was cooked perfectly, although two others with me indicated their steaks were just slightly over temp. Delicious salads and yummy mushrooms, too. It was our first experience here; but with the delicious food and excellent service we experienced, we will definitely return!

We make it a point to stop here on our way through the area (we are from the Columbus, Ohio area). The food is always great and service is the finest we have found in many years. Quality people make for a quality product and a quality dining experience: HW has it figured out.

My husband and I really enjoyed our dinner at Hamilton Walker's! The food was absolutely delicious - we got the crab cakes for an appetizer and the red wine BBQ chicken for myself and the Angus steak burger for my husband. All of it was just delicious! The servers were very friendly and polite, especially the young gentleman who was at the front and greeted us. Great food, great service, great ambiance-overall would recommend and definitely coming back again!

Overall disappointing. We were there Saturday, February 17th, 2024. This was our Valentine's celebration and something we both were looking forward to. I made the reservation a month earlier.
We came from out of town and drove for over an hour to get there.
The hostess seated us right away, BUT we were seated within feet of the bar. The area was VERY loud, the table was large and we sat so far away we had to almost shout to each other to communicate. Terrible atmosphere! I see on the website there is a dinning room with booths that have the intimacy we were expecting, not sure why we were seated where we were. The area we were seated in seemed like and area people go to, to get drunk and loud after work.
The food was mediocre. My wife ordered a New York strip. I had to laugh when I seen the receipt, they added $1 for a little cheddar cheese sprinkled on her salad. I would have thought for a $55 steak a little cheese sprinkled on her salad would be included.
I ordered the $58 bone in ribeye cooked medium. It arrived seared and looking good. The problem was the inside, it was very rare. I brought 2/3 of it home. When I cut it up, parts of it seems raw! Usually when I order steak I'm asked to cut into it and if it's how I I wanted it cooked. This was not done.
I think if we were seated in the intimate dinning area it would have made things better, even if the food was sub par. I give this dinning experience 2 out of 5 stars.

Greatly appreciated them honoring my request for a booth, and when it wasn't ready at the time of our reservation, they asked if we'd like to order drinks (as opposed to going to the bar to wait)--we still had to pay for them, but that was fine with us. They delivered them to us and we didn't mind the short wait. Always love having a classy steakhouse in town to indulge in when I'm visiting--have now been to Hamilton Walkers five times.
Bacon dates and warm bread- excellent! Wild bay scallops very good, just wish they were sea scallops which are bigger. Seafood bisque was excellent. Meatloaf a little dry, but very good. Would love to have more sauce with it. Chef choice- cod was excellent. Garlic smashed gold potatoes and green beans good. Service was very good and servers were polite. Loved the atmosphere. Parking is limited. Wish they had valet. Overall, we would definitely eat here again.
Filet, fresh catch, and scallops were great. Gin and tonic and espresso martini were fabulous. Savannah and all of the servers were wonderful. Only slight criticism was the seafood bisque as thin. Overall, exceptional meal and we will return.

We ate there for Saint Valentine's Day. We've eaten at Hamilton Walker's before, and always thought it was extraordinarily good. I understand that the day we were there was very busy for them, but we had some issues with the food. It seemed that there were too many green peppers in both of our dishes. My wife's crabcakes were mushy. The dessert that we ordered, a s'mores based concoction, was overly chocolatey and gooey. With this said, we will look forward to our next visit, but maybe not on a very busy day. One thing that always stands out is the excellent service!

Both steaks were badly cooked (filet was very overcooked and ribeye undercooked with an acrid taste of unburned gas) for my third visit in a row, the "creamed corn" was more of a roasted corn salad, and the crab cake was served over far too much ketchup and mayo dressing. Redeeming factors include friendly service, high quality water, good bread, and refreshing salads. This place seems to get everything right except the cook.
