I ordered Ike's for lunch on door dash, went to take a bite of my burger and I bit into something hard. That item happened to be a screw and no I'm not making this up! I will not be ordering food from Ike's again.

Well I decided to try this place cuz someone said ikes in Charleston il has good burgers. I was not thrilled at all with the burger or the service. The burger was very dry not moist at all & barely warm so I do not recommend going there for a burger anyway. Maybe the rest of the food is good idk I'm just a small food critic & this is my 1st time experience

Every college town in America has an Ike's Bar and Grill. There's a good reason for that, and Ike's in Charleston, Illinois does more than a sufficient job of filling the gap when you're looking for a cold beer and a reasonably priced, tasty burger. The service is prompt and friendly. The place has a hint of nostalgia, since it's been there forever, so the atmosphere is really cool. There's nothing shocking about the menu... sandwiches, burgers and a handful of tasty fried appetizers. We had the mozzarella sticks which are definitely a cut above the average cheese stick. The owners of Ike's could easily run to Gordon's food and stock their freezers with that type of product, but instead, they choose to step it up in with the quality of their food, and it shows. We dropped our daughter off for her second year of college, and we discovered Alex last year when she was a freshman. It's now pretty much a stop for us every time we're down there. I guess at night, Ike's turns into the university's Greek bar, but in The early evenings or late afternoons, it's filled with regulars who understand the value of a dollar, and appreciate a really tasty sandwich. My wife and I each had two ice, cold beers, some mozzarella sticks, two burgers, and a basket of onion rings, and the whole dinner cost us under $50 with a tip.

College bar! Long Island and rum and coke were very good, food was good but underwhelming. Dining room is clean yet not designed for comfort. Restroom had no lock on door and no seat on commode. Won't make a special trip to go back.

Not great. They serve food, but it was slow and not worth the wait. The mixed drinks were weak. It’s only a place to stop if you’re drinking bottled beer and not hungry.

We were traveling back home and wanted a good bar burger. Ike's sounded like a great choice when we searched. The establishment has history, which I like. I would recommend it. The burger was cooked exactly like I ordered. Our server was so nice. I asked him what was good, and he took the time to tell us what the best lunch items were. Burgers, wraps, pretzel with beer cheese. There was a party going on, so it was definitely a very friendly local bar. Onion rings were great, too. Well, we did find Ike's for a great burger. You must try this little bar on the corner.

It is fine, large selection of food which is usually pretty good, kinda small but enough room to eat and drink. This is good place for a quickie. Get in eat, drink get out, no hassle.
