The food here was unforgetable! I had the corned beef sandwich and my husband had the pastrami sandwich. The meat was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The bread was fresh baked. The other star of the show is there homemade potato chips. O...M...G they were delicious! The dill pickles complimented the sandwiches perfectly. The service was excellent. The cashier made every selection sound like a winner so we have to go back to try other sandwiches. Now we have to try the greens with turkey meat and the soups as well. Love this place and it is a restaurant that we have decided to make a go to spot for good food. The decor is inviting and ecclectic. Its a place you can go to with your friends or family and leave feeling more than satisfied! Please go and tell them the Thorntons sent you!

Went here once and I came in hoping to find a new deil spot but unfortunately this was not it for me personally, the sandwich was small I felt like there was more bread than meat, I ordered the corned beef, while I wait for my order there was a very unpleasant odor that was very offensive. I truly wanted to live this place but unfortunately this was a bust for me.

This place is a true hidden gem! I had never even heard of them until today, but I’m so glad I stumbled across it while looking for a good sandwich shop. I’ve been to Katz’s Deli in New York and tried Jewish delis all over, and this little spot absolutely holds its own.
The pastrami sandwich was fantastic—the rye bread was perfect and held up beautifully without falling apart. The meat had a rich, smoky flavor, and the mustard paired with it perfectly. My only small wish is that the pastrami slices were a bit thicker, but that’s just nitpicking because everything else was spot on.
The prices are great too. For a sandwich, drink, and side, you’re looking at around $15, which is an unbeatable deal for this quality. Overall, this place exceeded my expectations, and I’ll definitely be back!

Heard about this place and was very anxious to try it. Ordered off the website and the website gives you TONS of options when you select your food for customization, which seemed like a great feature. With that said, I just returned home to find that everything we ordered was either missing items or just flat out wrong. The BBQ wrap didn’t have BBQ sauce at all, the kids meal was missing sides, the selectable options on the Bensonhurst were all ignored, including the 5 dollar upcharge for the big option. Extremely disappointed with my experience, but the pickle was good.

It's probably a good thing that I don't live closer to this delicious deli, or I'd eat here even more often.
I meet friends here every other month or so and indulge myself with a Besonhurst. I couldn't decide between chips and coleslaw slaw today, so I had both.
Great decision 👏
I'll be back, it's worth the 30+ minute drive.

We really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere at this Homewood location. All the people were friendly as they simply enjoyed life. A few ladies were even playing a board game in the corner. Very cool.
I enjoyed a sandwich with brisket, corned beef and pastrami. Wow!! On the side I had an order of potato pancakes with applesauce. I was very satisfied.

One bite of my hot pastrami on seeded rye bread (with mustard-only, of course), and I was transported back to NYC! Good, friendly service, AND it's clean.

The last time I visited was years ago when they were located in Chicago Heights. They're now in Homewood IL in the downtown area. The street was blocked off so I parked about a half block away and walked to the location. No big deal!
I ordered 2 Bensonhursts and 1 turkey club. The sandwiches were hearty but slightly smaller than what I experienced years ago and it's the only reason why I didn't give the 5 ⭐️.
Overall I think I'll be back & just know that you will pay a premium but I think it's worth it. 🙂👍

The owner must be out of his mind if he thinks that this is a good place to eat it cost $50 for two people I ordered the bny sandwich for 17.50 it had about an inch of meat I ordered the matzo ball soup it was lukewarm at best I had to tell the girl to please bring me a hot soup this is a disaster of epic proportion this is a complete travesty of Injustice don't believe me check the picture out you couldn't pay me to go there ever again. The worst part is the owner could care less which is sad cuz you're running your business straight into the ground
