This was my second time visiting this Restaurant, since they opened. We waited a little over a hour for our food. The waitress was horrible! We asked for Straws& Butter, she never came back in a reasonable time! I had to get it from someone else. How does your worker's go to a car while working and smoke Weed? Our Pregnant waitress was one of the 3workers. When we received our food Everything was cold except 2 Chicken wings.Dressing, mac& Chess, Sweet Potatoes. Cold! We don't live close! I asked for a Manger Twice! She never came! We don't mind spending money for our meals! It was not worth the money nor time! Leaving from a play. We will Never go back again! We weren't the only people complaining! SMH!

We had a very large party and the service was great. The food did not disappoint. I had pecan waffles and wings, they were great. The Mac and cheese was amazing. If you want great soul food give them a try.

Easter Sunday morning and the waitress was rude. I still tip her because it's just what you should do, but she could've made so, much more. The food was lukewarm and just wasn't good. Tired service and food.

It saddens me to write this post, especially concerning a black-owned establishment, but I must express my disappointment with my recent experience at the 39th St location. As a loyal customer since their opening in 2008, I've supported this restaurant through thick and thin, including during the recession and the pandemic. With over 20 years of experience as a lead bartender, Sommelier, Cicerone, and various certifications including CompTia and Google+, I believe I have a good understanding of what it takes to satisfy guests.During a recent visit with my fiancé and our 4-month-old baby on a casual Wednesday afternoon, we were seated at a table as all booths were full. When we requested a high chair for our baby's car seat, the busboy promptly assisted us. However, a server quickly dismissed our request, citing company policy against using high chairs for infant car seats. This left us unable to dine comfortably at the 4-top table. The server's tone was rude and unsympathetic to our needs, providing zero accommodations or solutions. The entire staff seemed indifferent, giving off the impression that our patronage didn't matter. It's disheartening because without customers, restaurants wouldn't thrive, and employees wouldn't have jobs. If this attitude persists, it risks tarnishing the reputation of Chicago Chicken and WafflesLight skin, about 5' 7" tall, bad wig, with an attitude to match!

Salmon was not done in hair and food would really like to be compensated for this matter

I ordered wings with no onions, and of course onions were all over . The wings were burnt and covered in chalky gravy. The waffle tasted like a frozen waffle.NOT WORTH IT AT ALL. STRAIGHT GARBAGE FOR 34.00 $.

This is the spot for my brother and I. We enjoy catching up and getting a great bite to eat. Chicago's Chicken and Waffle is consistently good. The prices have definitely increased, but it's all good.
