We absolutely loved everything about our stay at the Virgin Hotel! The rooms were clean and well appointed. We were very impressed with how quiet it was too. Our window faced the L Train and I never could hear it going by from inside. There are multiple great options for dining. The best is the one hour free happy hour that is offered in the downstairs restaurant. The drinks were delicious and the service was great. We also really enjoyed the rooftop bar. There was a dj on Thursday night that our whole group enjoyed. The location is central to everything we wanted to do and very close to the train for easy transportation. We would definitely stay here again!!

Virgin Hotel Chicago leaves you with an unforgettable experience. Premium service, and the rooms have an unprecedented attention to detail. The staff is pleasant and friendly. Major shout-out to Tony in Miss Ricky's. Tony, you made our terrific trip, even more terrific.

Everything at the Virgin Chicago was wonderful from the location, the decor, the roof top terrace and the staff. Tony at Miss Ricky's went out of his way to be very welcoming and friendly the entire length of out stay.

I enjoyed my stay at the Virgin Hotel in Chicago this past Labor Day weekend. The front desk, in particular Andrew, was very helpful with getting me settled in and welcoming me in to Chicago. I highly recommend this hotel and will be coming back next time I’m in town!

Perfect location to access public transportation and the sites we wanted to visit. Rooms were absolutely perfect - huge, quiet and with nice amenities like premium bath products, tea/coffee, rainshower, plush beds and unique design that didn't make it feel like a chain hotel. Didn't quite live up to expectations with service though. Check-in failed to acknowledge my written request for late check-out, didn't clarify you had to pay for the "coffee bar", didn't explain how the spirit hour worked and never mentioned the $25 breakfast credit we were supposed to receive (never did get it). Only part of "In the Know program" we received at all was chips and water free in the room as a welcome amenity. Service was friendly and prompt at the coffee shop for breakfast and at Cerise, but spirit hour was never explained when we arrived there either so we paid for our drinks. The music was also too loud. While the front desk took our request for more coffee pods and creamer in the room and housekeeping responded promptly, they brought us four coffee mugs instead! Check-out front desk staff was great and accommodated storing our bags. However, never asked our stay. Good value for location and room quality, but lacking in service for such a raved about hotel.

Jonah and the kitchen team cooked us the best breakfast we’ve had in Dallas! Try the brisket hash, crispy hash browns and banana pancakes, they were delicious! Zeke was our friendly server and made sure our coffee cups were hot and full. We will definitely be back!

I had a good two night stay here. This hotel is located in the Loop neighborhood of Chicago less than a block from the Riverwalk. It is a bit of a hike with luggage if you are taking the Blue Line from O’Hare although it is a short walk from the station at State/Lake on the loop elevated lines. Short walks to all of the tourist attractions in downtown Chicago, including Mag Mile, Millennium Park, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Chicago Symphony. Arrived at the hotel quite early and was able to store my luggage until I was ready to check-in. (The staff does not appear to expect tips for bags. When I offered, the person said he would take the money but would leave it at the front desk.) Everyone who worked at the front desk was really wonderful. Upon check-in, I was told everything I needed to know about the hotel, which I appreciated. I got a room on the 18th floor that faced the front of the hotel. The front faces the loop elevated train. The hotel map shows that nearly all of the hotel rooms face the front of the hotel with two suites on each floor wrapping towards the back. From the 18th floor, you could hear a light rumble but it wasn’t anything that would keep you up at night. In terms of the view, there was an ornate building across the street and I could see the Chicago River down the block. However, the view was mostly of surrounding apartment and office buildings. Great, well-designed room. Hotels know that great design can make guests forget flaws - not major here but being so close to the elevated train is usually undesirable. The room’s toilet and shower are in separate rooms, which I loved. Great shower BTW - truly rain forest with the shower head overhead. There was a sauna-like ledge in the shower that was great as a place to keep toiletries or rest legs while shaving. The room had a huge safe that was large enough to hold an under-the-airplane seat-sized bag or backpack with room to spare. Plenty of places to hang and store clothes although nothing with dark corners that looked like they could be harboring critters. The in-room fridge was stocked with snacks, water, soda, and Moët. You have to remove all that stuff to have room to store anything you may buy and want to put in the fridge. TV remote takes a little getting used to. Press the mouse button and you’ll get a cursor to move around, which makes life easier. Otherwise, the button that moved things to the left on my remote didn’t work and I was about to ask for another one. You can access your Netflix and Hulu accounts with the TV. The main channel for HBO and Showtime are also provided. Very clean and no rowdy guests during my stay. The gym was open although it’s in a fairly isolated location on the 25th floor (the hotel has 26 floors). Decent equipment although I like rowing machines, which it didn’t have. Some other minor criticisms. No USB charging ports in the room although there was one wireless pad charger provided. Whatever detergent is being used to wash the sheets smells subtly divine but was somewhat irritating to my skin. The walls are a little thin - not the worst I have experienced by a long shot although not sound proof by any means. The hotel has a slightly erotic bent - bed shape, red decor (you'll argue London, I know), and condoms provided in room. It's not inappropriate for families although it is marketed to a younger, um, virile crowd. I would definitely stay here again and recommend.

10/10 always always always- this brand knows how to elevate the bar! I've stayed with Virgin Chi countless times and it's the biggest mistake on my part not writing a review sooner. From hospitality, competitive pricing, room aesthetic and offerings, to location and staff, The Virgin Hotels Chi family is world class excellent. This particular trip was needed after a rough flight cancellation and their team certainly didn't disappoint with their prompt communication and execution. The room was spectacular as always and we had amazing guidance and interaction at every level during the stay per usual. :) Grateful to say the least whenever staying in a city with a Virgin Hotel, but the Chicago team is a personal fav.
My children (14 and 11 years old) stayed here and loved the location. It is two blocks from the river which was dyed green for St Patricks! There is a 7 Eleven right around the corner for snacks. Plenty of good restaurants and shopping close by as well. The room was great. Nice size and clean. The only thing I noticed was the rug was stained and the bed is too soft for my preference but everything else was great!

Really enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect, if you're looking to stay downtown. The price point is consistent with most hotels downtown, maybe slightly less. The Lucy app isn't intuitive to use but it works great once you become familiar with account set up. Additionally, guests can literally perform every task from the Lucy app: check-in, late check-out, control room temp., change channel, etc. Will def consider staying here again.

My husband and I live in the Chicago burbs and pick a different hotel to stay in every couple of months. We typically pick big fancy places but we decided to go with a smaller boutique style of hotel this time. The Virgin Hotel was in a perfect location near all the fun in the city, it was spotlessly clean, the decor was sort of a 50's style mixed with eclectic art, the bed was comfortable, we heard absolutely no noise in the halls at night, and the front desk staff were extremely kind. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a nice smaller hotel. You can slightly hear the L rumbling as the hotel is by an L stop but that wouldn't deter me from staying here again. I was impressed! 5 stars all around!

Came during lunch time and only had to wait around 15 minutes or so. You get to pick your own seats and your order is brought to you. The ambiance inside is really nice! I ordered the breakfast sandwich. The brioche bun was really tasty.
