I took my family to creed on Juneteenth, we really enjoyed ourselves. We he food was absolutely delicious! We ordered the chicken wings with three sides I added a side. My husband ordered the smothered pork chops with 3 sides. Everything was hot and fresh! The drinks were good also. Great atmosphere, can’t wait to come back and try the gumbo and banana pudding!! It was only one server and he was handling everything with perfection as it was getting crowded. I love that we have a soulfood restaurant in town.

Was told about this place.. hours say wednesday at 12:00pm open… Walked in at 12:58pm a lady come out from bathroom buckling her belt , does not greet, not the nicest, but instead say we close…I said what time you open she said come back in hour… as she walked very closely behind us out and lock door… wont be back and I really looked forward to this local place…

I usually enjoy my experiences at Creed. Today was a disaster. I ordered my food as takeout, in the restaurant at 3:04 pm. My order was completed at 5:13pm. No apologies. The server got part of the order wrong. Brought out cold catfish. My food was luke warm. Not hot. The greens were disgusting they're usually excellent and seasoned well. I usually frequent Creed in the morning or early afternoon. Tina the usual cook is phenomenal, unfortunately she wasn't there today. Ms. Dee also wasn't there which may have contributed to my unpleasant experience. I generally tip well when people do a good job even with takeout. I refused to tip today after waiting 2 hours for my food. I've introduced several people to Creed and was planning an outing with friends next week there. However, the food quality and service I received today has me re-evaluating my future patronage of Creed. Very disappointing experience. Even the music was subpar today. I should have stayed home and finished my hair. My bill was 158.58 total.

This is my spot for some of the best soul food in the south suburbs! There is plenty of free parking in the lot. Upon entering, the space is always clean with some of the best R & B music playing low. I really appreciate that because you can still hold a conversation without the music taking over.
The food is on its own golden pedestal. Seasoned to perfection, not overcooked, and comes out hot and fresh. All the food is delicious! I love the smoked wings. The sides are flavorful and just as delicious.
The drinks are on point! She made me a sangria from scratch that had me singing!! My bartender (can't remember her name), but she was so nice and welcoming. Really all the staff was extremely nice, even the lady who brought the food from the kitchen was really nice and pleasant.
This is the place for good soul food. You will not be disappointed.

My cousin and I call it our happy place. She comes from Chicago once a month, and we go there for lunch. Every thing on the menu is delicious! We do lunch and enjoy a cocktail too. It has a totally unique vibe that is uplifting. The clientele tends to be male, ‘cause the food is like mama use to make! (Oops, the food isn’t that expensive. We just order a lot.)
