Food was good. Service was alright. A Lady kept walking in while she was banned and start fighting the staff, I am not coming back.
I walked into this location at 6:35pm on January 18th. Soon as i walked in, the young lady behind the counter LOUDLY complained about people always walking in right before they close at 7pm and conversed with a young man, one making sandwiches, that they weren't going home on time and they just want to go home. I understand the frustration, but as a customer, I view this as rude and unprofessional being that it's not MY fault the business YOU work for make you leave store open until the designated closing time. I walked out because I felt I wasn't going to get decent service and wanted to keep peace because I was going to speak to the young lady on her rudeness, especially since it was commented soon as I walked in the door.
While if I order in person, I receive my orders perfectly.
Via the app, from this location I receive:
- soup w/o ordered cheese
- toasted tuna w/o ordered cheddar
- salad -with- unordered hummus, w/o extra lettuce

I come to this Potbelly regularly on weekday evenings. The sandwiches are consistently good and the service is always courteous and friendly. My only complaint is that the booths are usually dirty (sandwich crumbs, etc.). But that doesn't keep me from coming back.

The sandwiches are generally okay, but I’ve seen some food handling anomalies. On two occasions in the last two weeks I’ve seen associates touching their faces with gloved hands while preparing food: nose wiping with wrists at the beginning of the line, and handling of eyeglasses (on and off between each order to read the tickets) at the condiments/topping sections. I believe these employees are good people, but could use a reminder (or initial training) on hot food handling habits, especially when customer-facing.

Food and atmoshpere are good, but they skimp on breakfast sandwhiches, asking for extra or double of anything significantly increases the price but the difference on the sandwhich is negligable. There appeared to be no change with opting for a "big" sandwhich, you feel like you are just eating bread. The stores on Michigan, Randolph, and Monroe are MUCH more generous with their portions. Happy to see they have hot sauce now. They didn't for quite some time.

Usually good, but today there was either a training issue or lack of common sense because 2 of our sandwiches were soaking wet on one end with water, like someone used dripping wet lettuce or tomatoes or something else. Please make it like you would want to eat it!
Stopped here for lunch, and absolutely loved this place! The service was friendly and efficient and the food is delicious. We got the Mediterranean sandwich and the avo turkey, both of which were absolutely delicious. If we were in town longer we'd absolutely be back!

Everyone here was so kind! I've gone here several times, often exhausted and overwhelmed as a grad student. Everyone here is so kind and always makes my day better! Robert is an amazing GM and every employee is absolutely amazing!!! This is the best potbelly in the Midwest and I am so thankful for them every day.

Super great employees and a super great Genral manager. Thank you Robert!
I was visiting Chicago for two days for work. I dreaded the northern attitudes I was sure to encounter. I was looking for a salad and going to the hotel to hide till the next day. This store was the first place I passed as I got off the train. I received the most hospitable service I have ever experienced (and the food was fantastic!). I had such a great experience I went back two more times before I left! Chicago should honor places like this bc my perspective of this overwhelming city was forever changed! Kudos to the staff and managers and THANK YOU! Your work and attitudes make a difference!

I've been twice and the people were charming and helpful. They prepared my meal deliciously. Shared a bit of the history of the spot. Sandwich is better than subway. They had a vegie option for my vegie eating wife.
Vegetarian options: There is one vegienmelt sandwich
