It's a cute place with tasty food, but my only negative is how slow the bartender was. Both in just bringing us water and in bringing us drinks and checking back if we wanted a refill on anything. Otherwise, we fully enjoyed it!

Raiz is a gem on Fullerton. At first glance you might find some confusion with a menu offering both pasta and sushi but don’t be dissuaded. The food here is amazing and you can see the chef and team put care and heart into this place. Absolutely delicious and great service.

Good and unique sushi rolls! Service was attentive and it was a good date night spot with holiday decorations out during December when I went. The Medusa was our favorite with Tuna Bites following second. Also had the crispy tuna which was like a a crispy rice sushi roll which was a little too crispy and not soft enough.

We order from here at least 2x a month. We live nearby. It's a total bummer we love the food but the menu is a bit limited with regards to the sushi when you eat here a lot and they are never ready with their orders. They always have our pick up time and we come and it's always 10-20 minutes late that we end up sitting there waiting. It's a total bummer that they are not on time and accurate and we just have to wait each time we pick up our food. We have given them this feedback but it never changes. Even if the wait is 45 to 55 minutes they are still late. Sours our experience for sure.

I had high expectations for this restaurant based on the Yelp reviews, but was left disappointed by the food. Ordered takeout on a Tuesday night and got: Zesty Islander, Ocean Vinaigrette, Picasso, Sashimi sampler, and salmon avocado. The tuna in the zesty islander had a noticeable fishy taste, as did the salmon in the salmon avocado. All the rolls had too much rice compared to amount of fish. The special rolls came with dipping sauce on the side? Which I had never experienced before, and the sauces almost tasted like different kinds of salad dressings. Unfortunately will likely not be ordering from here again, the fish quality at the end of the day was pretty sub-par.

This place is pretty solid. You can tell all the ingredients are super fresh and I love how they plate the food. Taste wise I'd give it a 7.5/10. It's good but not mind blowing or something I'd ever crave to have again. The best thing we had was the chili edamame appetizer.
