Adorable place. We’ve had breakfast there every time we’ve been in Chicago.

I find myself confused by all the high rating/reviews for this restaurant. I found the menu to be rather overpriced, $4 for coffee and $10 for two Swedish pancakes. Swedish pancakes were okay, flavorless and greasier than I’d like. Emphasis from staff is really put on larger parties here. My friend and I were having a nice conversation after finishing our food (friend still had a full cup of coffee) when a larger party came in and we were asked to move to another table so tables could be combined for them to sit. We moved with no problem. Shortly after we were asked to leave as another large party showed up. This party went outside, stood around for 5 seconds, and left. We were at the restaurant for around 35-40 minutes and were given the check the second we finished eating. No follow up on whether we’d like anything more. Overall disappointed by the entire experience. There are many better breakfast places in Andersonville.

My omelette was tasty and the offer sliced tomatoes instead of potatoes, which is a healthy option. Our server was great. Food was fast because we said we were in a hurry.
My husband loved the potatoes.
Gluten stopped me from trying Swedish pancakes which is heartbreaking and likely would have upped the stars.
The place is small w wobbly tables or uneven floors but our waitress fixed the table stability w cardboard.

Swedish breakfast place home cooking style. Falukorv/swedish sausage was great. Fluffy omelette. Awesome pancakes and crepes.
Place is relatively small. A group of 4+ might need a little wait. Bar seatings are abundant and great for solo diners.
3% up charge for credit card. Cash and debit accepted.

This place is trash. Just spent $45 for two people. The waiter talks down on you and doesn’t know what a cooked egg is.
Crepes were decent though, everything else I can make at home better.

I visited on 8/25/24 and the service wasn’t that good. Their food was okay and the decoration is nice, but I don’t see myself coming back here again. Overall, I’d give it 3 stars.

Wonderful old Andersonville breakfast and lunch spot. Owner is a lifelong Andersonville resident with a deep love of the community.

Had an amazing breakfast in their outdoor dining area behind the restaurant. Their Swedish Pancakes with Lingonberries were fantastic. Wish they were open even later but a nice spot for authentic Swedish breakfast and lunch food
