Thomas (our waiter, he usually waits on us when we sit in the booths in the bar) is awesome. (Might be spelled Tomas...) He's super attentive, professional and warm and friendly.

When I think of the Palm, I think upscale, special occasion steak house. This location is quite tired and while the servers made strong efforts, the level of service and the quality of the food did not match up to the expectations set by the Palm reputation and the menu pricing. We chose the Palm for a special occasion dinner, but will not be back. There is a high competition in Chicago for fine dining restaurants and the Palm seems to be thriving on transient hotel guests and a less expensive happy hour.

Had a spectacular dinner here with colleagues. The service was exceptional, our waitress was funny and attentive. The starters were awesome - Calamari Fritto misto, lump crab cake (this was just lovely), fresh buffalo mozzarella with seasonal toppings, prime New York strip steak and jumbo shrimp over mushrooms cooked to perfection. We made a reservation as it's busy.

Went there for restaurant week lunch. Got the “steak alla stone” which is billed as a 6oz prime NY cut, which sounds like a steak. Server said it's a steak on a bed of onions. The order comes out and it was some cut up beef pan seared, a couple of grilled onions on a hamburger bun. NOTHING AT ALL LIKE DESCRIBED IN THEIR MENU. So, disappointed. I would've said something but l was taking my father out for his birthday and didn't want to make a scene. Also, the Caesar Salad was literally eight pieces of lettuce and four croutons. I couldn't believe it. Server had a rude attitude as well. Would not visit again. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Super unreasonable prices and poor service is a recipe for not visiting again.Food order was wrong, they whipped up some concoction and tried to let it slide by.I ended up not eating the food. The busers were working hard but the waitress was not on her game or maybe she was….?

Went for restaurant week on Monday. I ordered the lobster bisque, sicilian salmon with green beans, and ate the mashed potatoes. I drank a bourbon sour with dinner, and I drank a grasshopper for dessert. The lobster bisque tasted great. There was a very nice tomato flavor behind the soup. The lump of lobster was the perfect size. It did not overpower the soup. It was buttery and sweet. The salmon was perfectly cooked. It had a very nice sear on the bottom while the meat of the fish remained moist. The flavor was delicate and complimentary. Also, the green beans were very fresh, bright green. And crisp. Finally, the dtinks were phenominal. Hats off to the bartender. The waitress (Darlene) was fantastic. Very knowledgeable, kind, and efficient. All in all, I jad z wonderful experience, vool atmosphere in a classic Chicago style restaurant.

Did one order from restaurant week menu. It was the minestrone soup and prime rib chopped salad. It was very good but super garlicky. We had one "power lunch" which was a Caesar's salad and one 6oz fillet with wine reduction sauce on the side and came with steamed green beans. It was great but the Caesar's salad was pretty small. Cheesecake was FABULOUS!
