Ordered from here tonight and after I cut up my son’s hot dog for him to eat. I noticed that there was mold on the bun! Very noticeable mold!! Do not eat here!

Place is clean, service is fast, burguer isn't bad but a little bland and I ordered a double bacon cheese burguer. I can only imagine the burguer patty by itself ?. And like lets have someone taking our order instead of asking to leave a tip for a computer?

I used to go here for shakes. Then the night manager refused a 'Free Shake' reward that I got for taking a corporate Steak n shake survey. The reward gave me a Validation Code and said it is good at ANY Steak and Shake location. I tried to use it and the manager refused to honor it telling me I couldn't use it and I needed to get a bar code, but he wouldn't say how to do that or any info. Terrible service and very scammy! Just after I left good feedback for this location on the survey. I'll never go back here again until this is resolved.

Do not recommend. I haven't been to a steak and shake in years so I was excited to stop by the Elgin store. Our food came out in less than 5 minutes but our shakes took 15 minutes and the place was empty. There were no one in front of us. By the time we got our shakes, the food was cold.

I was stuck in the area while my car was getting worked on. Walked in 11:30 on a weekday, everything was perfectly clean. Haven’t been to a S&S in at least 15 years. No servers, only kiosks which we’re very intuitive. Got the double w cheese meal, as soon as I finalized the order the cook came out and started making everything fresh. The cook was very friendly and brought it right to me. The food was all excellent!! As I sat enjoying my meal I couldn’t believe how good the quality is for under $9. I’ll be back!

WORST EXPERIENCE DO NOT GO HERE!the drive thru worker had an attitude and he rushed me through my order not hearing the changes I made to one of the meals I ordered.I pulled into the line at 12:15 and DIDNT LEAVE UNTIL 12:55… there were two cars ahead of me both taking 10-15 min just to get their drinks.When i finally got my food I asked if they got my order correct fearing they didn’t hear me and sure enough he got the meal wrong… I then asked him to correct the mistake and the man gave me a death stare…he told me to pull up and i waited another 10 min before having to leave out of anger.. never have I spent that much time waiting in a drive thru… will not be going back here again..

What are we already to the days of the Jetsons? No waitress and only kiosk to order from. I don't get that. It didn't appear to be very clean either. Saw only 3 employees staying in the back and then the kiosk asks for a tip! For what? Me getting all my own stuff. I'm sorry but I should have just went through the drive thru unless that was a kiosk too. Food was decent
