We enjoyed our first visit so much, we will be making it our regular stop when we travel through here. Prices are great. Food is great. Atmosphere is comfortable and everyone is so helpful and friendly.Food: 5/5

Well not sure if it was the timing or what. Wasn't impressed with the food or service. The young lady waiting on me did her job well. Well I'll start with the plus, plenty of room! So many seats and great looks to the place. That's about all I got for that. I wasn't impressed with the food at all. Order the biscuits and gravy with 2 eggs and hashbrowns, and an all meat SKILLET. I emphasize skillet cuz there wasn't a skillet. Biscuits and gravy or biscuits and gravy had to add salt and pepper for actual taste, biscuits weren't bad. Not hard to mess up an egg. Can't say much about that. But the hashbrowns seemed under cooked and bland. And the all meat skillet wasn't worth ordering, all the meat was over cooked/dry and burnt. And it was just a pile of meat with tasteless hashbrowns piled on it with a couple eggs on top...not trying to be mean but you will need the salt and pepper if you go here. Told the waiters the skillets weren't any good and she took 20% off the ticket, instead of removing the skillet which I didn't eat..Ya not sure if it was just an off day for the cook, but I don't have any plans to return.

The food was really good! I did like the lasagna! I wish the garlic Parm wings had more sauce but maybe next time I'll get a side of extra sauce. My husband got 1/2 chicken it was well seasoned just like his taste in women! ?Food: 4/5

Decent food. Not made in-house, but decent. Good presentation, great service, very clean, and not too loud. A comfortable dinning experience.Food: 3/5

Bread before dinner. Lasagna & garlic bread excellent. Onion rings excellent. Service excellent. Desserts looked great, but the dinner portions were too large!

We weren't expecting such an amazing place when we pulled off after a long drive for dinner. Max was our server and did outstanding! He was attentive, knowledgeable, and polite. The fried chicken was worth the wait. Moist inside and a nice crispy outside. And the chicken noodle soup hit the spot. Very tasty! The restaurant is clean and the staff works together well. Thanks for a great dining experience!

First time dining here, and was really impressed! The staff was really nice, the food was delicious, and the diner was really nice! If I'm ever back in the area, I'll definitely go there again!!

Just a little hole in the wall place with great food, portions, prices and service. A new added favorite spot to our travels.

Great people. Good food. Reasonable prices. Interesting owners. Johnie’s Bar is part of the same establishment and carries a decent selection.I had the catfish special. My wife and I shared some great wings. Salads were fresh and crunchy. All good, but skip the bread. And I know the little butter containers with the baked potato look cheap, but don’t let that put you off. The potato was perfect and all the food was good.

Fantastic food! Even my picky eater loved his food. I had the sea bass, which Cooked without oil but fried/steamed perfectly, wonderful waitress and kudos to the chef. Things ran smoothly with big parties. I love this place. Long drive but it’s worth it!!

Best food we’ve had in a long time! Homemade mashed potatoes, homemade broccoli soup, liver and onions was absolutely delicious and brown chop steak was perfect job as well. Excellent Midwest food! You won’t be sorry to eat here and the service was wonderful.

Was packed inside on a Sunday, close to noon. We got seated outside, which was much less crowded. Portions were big and the food was good. We'll be back, probably at a less busy time, so we'll try sitting inside.

Wow, what a surprise the food here was not only plentiful but it was delicious. We stopped for an overnight stay at a nearby hotel after nearly 8 hours on the road. With that said, we were hungry. I had a chicken over pasta dish which came with a side. I ate everything including the potato soup side. It was fabulous. I did make room for dessert, cake with custard filling, that was excellent as well. So, if you are traveling I-74 and stop in Leroy, Jack's Cafe is a must visit!

We showed up 45 minutes before closing while traveling 16 hours. The waitress was absolutely friendly, professional, and acted like she just started her shift. Our food was wonderful, which surprised me since it was almost closing time. I HIGHLY recommend stopping by to enjoy Jack's Cafe
