Customer service was superb but most importantly the food was so flavorful. We ordered calamari and crab cake for appetizer and we were blown away by the amount of crab meat in the crab cake. Wished the calamari had a better sauce for people who don’t like spicy food. For our entree we’ve had, Fish Taco, Shrimp de Jonge and the Fish of the Day. Everything was fresh and cooked perfectly. Celebrated a birthday here for lunch and even if there wasn’t a free dessert for the birthday celebrant, it was fine because service was great anyways.

Kind of disappointing. I suppose I only have myself to blame for ordering seafood in Illinois, but how do you mess up fish and chips. I'll tell you; serve up a piece of white fish in nearly tasteless breading and tip it off with equally bland tarter sauce. I gave them two stars only because my wife got the filet sliders and the meat was excellent despite being delivered on a bun with no sauce. At least the ambiance was nice unfortunately that is where the money went, not in the food.

Omg!!! I love love hugos frog. The clam chowder for a bowl size I think is only $8 and super super rich and creamy!. The Manhattans are $17but it's basically a double version of a regular size. All the patrons were very friendly so we're the staff. I loved my lunch time fish that was only $24 and came with a little veggie. Our server ray was fantastic!

The food was very good. We had shrimp cocktail and the sauce was great. Filet medallions, wedge salad, crab avocado and the brussel sprouts were all perfect. Service was a bit rushed and negligent; we had to flag another waiter down to put in a to-go order, our waiter neglected to offer dessert & we had to ask to order some when he gave us the check; we also were celebrating a birthday which he didn't acknowledge while another table near us was clearly called out for a birthday celebration.

Hugo Frog restaurant in Naperville, IL is the perfect spot for both romantic dates and professional business meetings. I have had the pleasure of hosting several clients at this upscale establishment in downtown Naperville. The Lamb chops are a must-try, as they are simply the best I've ever had. Every dish I have sampled at Hugo Frog has been incredibly delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a high-class dining experience.
Place was great. Ordered the Dover sole, oysters, goat cheese. Everything was delicious. Service was top notch. Will definitely repeat.

I am a Naperville Business Owner and I am so excited to take my clients to Hugo's. It has an amazing staff that provide number 1 service. The food is great EVERY time. They have the best wedge salad I have ever had and the crab cakes are the BEST. This is my favorite place to dine, no doubt.

1. Restaurant overbooked the place. It was more of a zoo. We had reservations, but still had to wait (standing like sardines) for a long time. 2. On a very cold night, they made us sit in the veranda with poor heating. We had to keep the coat on. There was no ambiance of the restaurant in the veranda. 3. I told them we are celebrating two birthdays, but there did nothing for us.
The restaurant has a great ambiance, the food is delicious and the drinks are wonderful. However, the service was sluggish. I spend 1 hr to simply have a drink and one appetizer serve. By the time our waiter was ready to take our dinner order, my wife and I were needed to leave for another valentine's activity. We ended up ordering more appetizers at it seems that's the only thing we could get on a reasonable time.
