Really nice place. First time having Chicago style sub. It was nice not hard on the mouth. Taste was a little bland even with the peppers. Make sure to add extra peppers if you like a good
Its a good quick bite. Food is consistent. Been stopping by when I'm in the area. But I used to eat here regularly when I worked in the area.Alot of other Al's have closed, I'm happy this one hasn't.Chicago has a lot of Italian Beef places, and reviews for this category is very subjective. But I have always liked Al's over Portillos, Mr.Beef, or Buona. Def wouldnt try them again. Got Italian bef sandwich. Very little flavor. Bread was good though. Hot dog was skinny and disapointing. Couldnt even bite into the peppers they were so hard. I was alo expecting a fresh Chocolate Chunk Cookie bu instead was prepackaged store bought type for that kinda of money. Yikes!
