The thin crust pizza is great. They were nice to comp a brownie for the birthday child. But alas, I had gripes about our visit for dinner with 5 people. The Shrimp Scampi pasta was advertised for $21 on the website menu, at the restaurant it was $26. You get 5 shrimps in your pasta, which tasted just ok and swimmed in butter. On our bill: A whopping 22% automatic tip for a party of 5, undisclosed beforehand. I mean the service was good, but not warranting this percentage. A 4% fee added on top for paying with a credit card, also undisclosed beforehand. So you leave feeling fleeced, and that is the end of it.

Ehhhh, I was hungry. I ordered a dish with lemon and chicken and capers. Couldn't taste it and it was mushy while chicken thick and dry. Pizza was okay. Service was ok. Waitress was kind. The restaurant is not a bad looking place but they certainly do nothing to work with it looking classy. I would say this is a great place to bring kids for pizza. Or guys going out for beer and pizza. For a meal for two and wine. It was a disappointing experience with food that was not prepared the way the recipe should be. Got kids or boys in sports or a bunch of men who want to yell manly things and eat pizza and beer. This is the place for you!!! Everyone was nice to me there. I did find the staff friendly and I will be back to try some pizza. :)

Service has been progressively getting worse every time we go there. Older staff are rude and argue.. pizza was under cooked and not sliced... also still charging credit card fee without letting customers aware...

Marcellos is a great restaurant for so many reasons. First off, the food is great. I've not had anything that wasn't good.Second, they have a great space for parties and events. They have 2 smaller rooms that really aren't small at all. But they can take down the wall to make it into a much larger room. They can host events much larger than you'd imagine.Great service, generous drinks, and the owner is a kind, generous, and charitable man who gives back to the community.Go here.

I absolutely love this place. There pizza and there chocolate Martini is delicious.
We had a company dinner, 8 pizzas,all fresh and hot! Service was friendly and competent even if a little overwhelmed by the size of our party. Good for any occssion and celebrations.
Food and service was great - Lasagna was really good and the Thai chicken flatbread was delicious!

Poor quality food. Ordered calamari for an appetizer. Tasted like old rubber.Pizza was very oily and soggy. Large portion of pasta but tasted like can food.I will not come back

Great joint. Sat at the bar with friends and enjoyed great drinks great food and wonderful service from Mr. Louie. We ate lasagna, broasted chicken and delicious baby back ribs. Don't sleep call me Apple pizza for dessert, oh my! The owner was also on the property greeting guest's and checking on everything. Good for you Northbrook, you got yourself a little gem here.
