This review truly upsets me to have to write. I have used Creme bakery many times and honestly they have always come through. I have been a loyal customer for the last few years using them for many celebrations. Today my view on them has changed. i will be as transparent as possible to explain... I ordered a smash cake for my daughter's 1st birthday pictures Tuesday since Creme is closed Sundays and Mondays Ashley said Joe would meet me to pick up the cake. When I got there Joe had been talking about how much he loved my cake and how beautiful it was. I was so excited to see it since I too thought my vision was the perfect cake for my daughter. When I saw the cake my heart sank and I took the cake and left. I immediately called my husband and said we needed to look at the cake and also go through my conversation with Ashley bc the cake was awful looking. I sent Ashley pictures of what I'd like the cake to look like as well as texts and we spoke on the phone. After looking at my text conversation with Ashley I decided to call her. Joe answered and was completely rude and unsympathetic to the situation. He kept saying that they were supposed to be closed and that he met me there on Ashley's day off. It felt as though he was justifying the ugliness of the cake by insinuating they had done me some kind of favor. I did pay for the cake, so I'm not sure where the favor was. If they had a problem with meeting then they could have easily turned down my business. Joe said I should have said something at pick up and they could have taken the cake back and given me a refund. Yes, I should have said something at pick up. I was so shocked and honestly close to tears and really didn't feel as though I wanted to have a breakdown in front of Joe. Also, what good is a refund and no cake going to do me for smash cake photos. As a mother I had a vision of what my daughter's perfect smash cake would look like and this is far from it. The cake I sent her and the one i received don't even resemble each other. My wonderful husband called every bakery within a 15 minute drive and Sylvia's Bakery in Darien was able to make me a beautiful smash cake with only 24 hours notice. I am so grateful that I didn't have to use that ugly eye sore that Ashley and Creme designed. We were hoping Ashley could take the cake and work on it to make it look more like the textured, pastel rainbow cake I wanted. I still have not heard from Ashley and never received an apology for her awful work.

We ordered a special cake for a family occasion and the staff here were so amazing and accommodating. The cake was not only visually beautiful, but tasted amazing. We usually have a hard time finishing any cake we get for events but this one was such a hit people came back for seconds. Will highly recommend ordering cakes and desserts for any occasion. This was not our first time ordering here, we’ve placed orders for graduations and birthdays and each time we are blown away with how amazing everything always is!

Ashley is the sweetest owner I've ever met. Ordered desserts for my daughter's shower. You tell her your vision of what you would like and she is so professional and detail oriented that they turn out much better than you could imagine. Not to mention the rave reviews from my guests on how delicious they were. I would highly recommend using Creme Bakery for any of your upcoming events. Cupcakes are superb! You'll thank me later!

I was hosting a huge event for work and ordered a little over 300 cupcakes. Everything turned out so great! From start to finish, it was such a smooth and easy process from ordering to picking out flavors! More importantly, the cupcakes were delicious! This bakery is an excellent establishment and is friendly to the vegan family. Friday is the vegan preparation day so ensure you plan accordingly. I recommend the vegan cupcakes for there are delicious; the level of sweetness is balanced, and the texture is superb. The presentation is also phenomenal; however, the frosting can be a bit much at times, but you can easily remove as much frosting as you'd like without compromising the cupcakes structure and flavor. An excellent bakery choice for the vegan community. Shout out to Joe! I commend his passion and attention to detail. Joe's memory is superb and makes an effort to remember every face and voice he encounters personally. Such dedication to customer service makes this establishment worthwhile to frequent. Tooo much frosting! Like omg. Ordered a birthday cake (vegan chocolate cake with strawberry frosting) and that thing was a disaster to cut. The bottom layer started sliding out as we cut into it. Such a thick ridiculous amount of frosting in between the 2 layers which pretty sure is what caused the collapse. The more you cut into it, the bigger mess it makes. The $160 was not worth it and would not order cakes again. Probably should've went with simple cupcakes. Some of the pics show how much frosting we had to scrape off to get to the bottom layer. Never had this experience at any bakery I've ordered from.
