I am highly disappointed in this establishment. I ordered 18 cupcakes of different variety and asked not to add any chocolate. The young lady took my order and my payment over the phone, she sent me an email of my order and payment and told me that they would be ready by Friday, October 7, 2022. I was on my way and called to ask for directions and the young lady that answered the phone told me that there was no manager and she checked to see if my order was ready and she said she did not find my order, but they had taken my money. I called the next day to speak with a manager and he told me that he did not see an order for me and to call him back Tuesday. I called him Tuesday and every day after that and no one answered the phone, I left messages and I wrote a message to him but no answer. So on Friday, October 14, 2022, I left work a little early and drove out there only to find the establishment was closed and had a note on the door. I want my money back. Refund me my money.

Highly disappointed. I drove all the way here and they were closed at 2:00 PM in the middle of the week. Do not drive here if it’s out of your way, they make up the hours as they feel like it. The door says they are closed Mondays & Sundays due to low staff. This is very frustrating. Cupcakes are great each time i’ve been, but they’re not consistently open. The door was locked, I thought it may have been a mistake. Next I tried calling & no one answered.

Tried to go to this place 3 separate times to place a multiple cake order and they were closed. Now looks like they have closed for good. Wouldn't trust this place to fulfill your order.

Really awesome Cupcakes. I just wish this location wasn’t so understaffed. They were sold out of every single cupcake well before closing time. Not to mention, the old business hours are still on the door. I was not in a mood to argue, but this location needs a little work.

Went to Small Cakes to purchase two tiramisu cupcakes.I was told there were only three left and I asked the person to put two away, got home And noticed there was whipped cream on the cupcake. This is not what I paid. for Will be calling Management in the morning.

So sad! Spent over $100 for a cake for my sister’s birthday. Picked up the cake on Friday afternoon and followed the instructions that were given. Woke up Saturday morning to this mess! Called Smallcakes and they said that once it walks out of the store they are no longer responsible! Called the owner Sal and left a message to discuss how unhappy I was but never heard back. So much for customer service! Luckily Orland Bakery came through with a beautiful cake for her birthday! Won’t be purchasing anything from Smallcakes again and I’m not a person that writes bad reviews !

I've visited many Smallcakes locations all over the Chicago burbs so I know what a good Smallcakes cupcake tastes like. This is not it. Ive been to this location 3 times and each time the cupcakes tasted old, dry, and hard with not much flavor. They looked pretty! The frosting was good but the actual cake was not good at all. The East Naperville location is by far the best and Oak Lawn would be my 2nd favorite location. After three tries I wont be back to this location again.

I brought my daughter in to order a soccer ball cake and when we ordered it the employee said it would be an additional $15 to have the ball covered in fondant. When I arrived the soccer ball had been covered with regular white and black frosting and very messy looking. The black frosting was leaking into the white. I said I wanted a refund for the $15 and the manager said no. She was very rude. I got a full refund and left the cake. Terrible business ethic! I found a beautiful cake at Orland Bakery for a third of the price!

Grabbed the four cupcake special for Mother’s Day. We loved them so much the cupcakes impressed mom with the decoration of flowers. Each cupcake wasn’t overly sweet and was so moist and delicious. She shared them and the family ? Made The holiday so special. Much appreciated and look forward to getting more, thank you so much! ?

The cupcake itself was fresh but nothing out of the ordinary. Only flavor seems to be in the frosting which I found to be extremely sweet. Decorations on the cupcakes were average nothing unique. Incidentally there is no cream in the Boston Cream cupcake. I would suggest someone update their website as the prices listed are incorrect. A dozen cupcakes is now $40 with individual cupcakes at $4.25. I find that to be somewhat expensive for something of the same quality (or better) with a lesser price which is available at a quality bakery. Very disappointing!
