Cafe Fourteen is truly one of my favorite spots in Palatine! The food is always fresh and high-quality, and every dish I’ve had has been delicious. The atmosphere is so cozy and welcoming. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to stay a little longer and enjoy your morning.
A special shoutout to Tori, who is such an amazing waitress! She’s incredibly sweet, attentive, and always makes the experience even better. Honestly, all of the staff here are so kind and friendly, which makes every visit feel special.
Cafe Fourteen is definitely a gem in Palatine. If you’re looking for a place with great food, warm service, and cozy vibes, this is it!

Wonderful! Great food, great service. My omelet was huge; fluffy and moist and the eggs were completely cooked. The coffee was PREMIUM and amazing. Our coffee cups and water glasses were kept filled. We were seated promptly, and our orders taken and food served quickly. We will be back!

Food was AMAZING. A friend and I split the breakfast burger and the Western skillet. Both were an 11 out of 10. The staff was really friendly and attentive. We never even had to ask for our drinks to be refilled. They checked up on us regularly, but not so much that it felt like too much. We came during the Saturday brunch rush, so it was pretty packed. So if you're someone who enjoys quieter restaurants, I would recommend coming in closer to noon on a Saturday. But overall it was a wonderful experience.

We’re from Texas and heard great things about this place from a friend. The staff was so sweet and their food was so great it gave me “dad just made us a home cooked meal” vibes and I’d definitely come back again. Got the biscuits and gravy, super soft biscuits and savory gravy with some sausage. We also got the steak skillet and the steak was cooked to perfection.

Such a great feel as soon as you walk into the building with beautiful home feeling decor. Immediately greeted by kind welcoming staff and by far best glass of Orange Juice you’ll find in all of Illinois. All in all great experience with amazing food!

A year ago, my partner surprised me with a lovely dinner for my birthday here at Cafe Fortín. The service was excellent, the dishes delicious, and above all, they made me feel very special, since the restaurant was only open for my family. If you're interested in celebrating your birthday like Luis Miguel, who would close a restaurant for you, don't hesitate to contact Felipe, one of the restaurant owners. He'll give you excellent service and a great price.

Cafe 14 has amazing chicken noodle soup daily. The chicken salad is super yummy! We usually sit in Angie's section. She is very efficient and super friendly! If you want great food and service I highly recommend Cafe 14.
