The staff are always super friendly. We go 1 or 2 times a week. Food is always great. Chicken and waffles and their Swedish Pancakes are the best we've ever eaten. Highly recommend eating there. You can also see the window cat next door.
Went for their soul food special on Sunday. I cant speak for the rest of their menu, but if its anything like what is served for their special on Sunday it is a must see in Rockford. You wont find better soul food north of the mason Dixon line.
Service is excellent. It's really nice that they let ya know up front that they are short staffed. So customers should have the courtesy to be patient if the waiter or waitress is little slow on taking your order if it's real busy. The food is ???like always!!!
