I can’t say I enjoy the food I had and their mozzarella cheese sticks were wrapped in this thing egg roll thing.. I’m not sure what that was all about but that’s a no for me.

Not sure we will ever be back. First they sat us in the loud bar area for dinner. The hostess was walking around and asked us how everything was. I said it's really loud here, she said sorry, not even offering to reseat us on the other side of the restaurant. My husband ordered the steak dinner special. They showed us a sample plate. When his came it looked nothing like it, and was smaller. I had the seafood crepe which was very good. The waitress forgot my side when she brought our food, said she would bring it out. We reminded her twice, she finally had someone else bring it, after I finished my dinner. Then we were offered 2 desserts on the house. I'm glad I looked at the check before I left. We were charged for the 2 desserts. We have never been here before and were expecting much better, very disappointing. And the place wasn't busy at all for all of these problems.

The ambience and decor were extraordinary. The food was top notch as well as the service. Good was as good as anywhere we've been and priced very fairly.

One of the best restaurant experiences I’ve ever had! Truly, a welcoming place for everyone. Sarah, our waitress, was splendid! Nicole, the manager, was a blessing. All of the staff performed their best for everyone. The food was absolutely amazing. “The Best Chicken Salad Sandwich” was the best chicken salad sandwich that I’ve ever had. The “Jungle Jim’s Jambalaya” had some really good marinara sauce. It was a great place to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. We hope to return very soon!

Stopped in Jan 29 and had an amazing dinner. Living in Ann Arbor Mi, I met my family from Minneapolis for the night. Linda, Cookie and Renee were fabulous!

A little disappointing. The server smelled of tobacco (a lot), and the food was just OK. There are many other better restaurants in the area.

Had the Giant 36 ounce porterhouse steak came out on a sizzling platter absolutely amazing! Had leftovers for days the owner was awesome he sent us out a free appetizer for coming out in bad weather so nice the staff was awesome! By the way if you go there don't pass up getting the hurricane for a drink!

Came here for dinner the other night and was not disappointed. The choice of food and drink was more than what i had expected. The wait staff was very attentive and my food came out warm and to the exact order.

Nick took great care of us when we were there. Food was excellent-especially the wood fire pizza! Prices were also fair for the quality and quantity. Definitely going back again!

This place is 1st class! The owner is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. He routinely visits customers and truly wants to know if you are enjoying your meal and if you need anything. You will never meet a more customer focused individual. He is the best, and the Stone Eagle Tavern serves the finest food and drink in the area.

Waited a while to be seated. No one so much as showed up at the hostess desk to let us know they will be with us. We decided to try this place one last time after a really negative experience a few years ago. Guess we are going across the street, where you aren't ignored.

My husband and I ate here for the first time tonight. We are definitely coming back! The waitress was very attentive, we met a great couple sitting next to us and the owner Jim personally came by our table to talk multiple times and made us a complimentary from scratch pasta dish that was absolutely delicious! My husband had the Prime Rib special and I had the Filet and Lobster tail. Cosmos were delicious as well! Great food, employees and owner!

We ate at the Stone Eagle Tavern for the first time a few nights ago. Our food was amazing! Loved our delicious (spicy) mozzarella sticks, followed by amazing adult chicken strips and cheesecake dessert. Our service was amazing as well! Our waitresses name was Lor and she was very attentive. Lor was on top of everything we needed and made the whole experience even better. I’ve never had a waitress respond as quickly as she did. I highly recommend eating here.

Had a good time at the stone eagle. The decor is unique to say the least, a blend of all sorts of things. There were pelts on the wall, a motorcycle, a train on tracks near the ceiling, and I sat in a wicker chair. The food was good. Started with the mile high onion stack, an excellent appetizer. My entree was nothing amazing, but I enjoyed the side of mashed potatoes very much. My server for the evening, Ethan, was very friendly and provided speedy service.

Food was good, we had the 3 pigs sandwich which was good but not amazing and wife had the ribs which I thought were really good. She ordered the Brussels sprouts with it and they were quite soggy and oily not recommended. Service was excellent and we will be coming back to try other items. Great atmosphere here owner was walking around welcoming everyone.

Classic American food with excellent service. Full bar. My understanding is this is a venerable Rockford institution moved from downtown to a fresh new location. Whatever, it's a treat!

I really enjoy this restaurant. Every time I go here, the owner greets us and so nice. He always throws in something free on our bill. I love the atmosphere of the restaurant. It's dark and cozy. I recommend sitting in the bar area. Its lively but not too crazy. In the summer the out door seating area is really cool. I just wish they built it on the other side of the building because towards evening, the sun really ruins the atmosphere.

We went during lunch, they had only 2 people working. No one was sitting anyone. Finally after waiting, we went to seat ourselves. We both ordered the salmon. It was so loaded with butter, it's an angioplasty waiting to happen but tasty. You get one side, mashed potatoes were good but loaded again with butter. Expensive at 16.99. They gave us a couple rolls, they were terrible. The tiramisu, was the best we have had. Not one of my favorites restaurants. Too bad, nicely decorated for the holidays.

Had the $26 a person buffet for Thanksgiving. Awful, everything. Basically a turkey roll. Not real turkey , biscuits that were made from bisquick literally. Stuffing that did not look like stuffing. Pumpkin pie had no flavor. Biggest waste of $107 out of my mother’s pocket.

Sat at the bar. Like the decor. Got the steak and it wasn't that bad! I did not have high expectations but the staff was friendly and steak was delicious! I will be back!

Made you feel like part of the family the moment we walked in. The owner Jim checked on us a couple time during the meal to make sure everything met our standards. The calamari was wonderful!

Curvin L

We felt welcome the moment we walked in. Our server Nick was wonderful. He showed a strong knowledge of the menu with great suggestions and was attentive but never overbearing. The owner even stopped by our table to check on us. We will be back!

After a ok meal we tried to use a gift card and was told we could not use it. they said they didn't sell that type anymore so it was to old and could not be used .

This is an occasional spot for me. Not part of my normal rotation, but I may have to reconsider. Pros: -This place is local, and its reasonably good. That raises the stock a little. I was immediately greeted and promptly seated. Probably one of the warmer greetings I've seen in recent memory. -Huge menu. From steaks to oysters. If you can't find something you'd enjoy on this menu (at least on paper), something is wrong with you -Nice enough atmosphere. Not too loud. You could easily bring a date here. -Serving speeds met expectations. -The manager Tina. At time of review, talk about a person that really went the extra mile to make people feel welcome. This wasn't just partial to myself and my friend. She was taking time to speak directly to numerous customers. It really made a positive impression. She definitely takes pride in her role. Easily can be mistaken for a hostess at first glance lol, but she really does give it the extra effort. Cons: -Huge menu. Almost too large. You can almost use it as a legitimate weapon (As in club somebody with it). I'm of the Gordon Ramsay mentality that prefers smaller menu in favor of better execution. I didn't see anything wrong with my meal, but it's a risk. I believe Menu size vs quality trade off to be a real thing. -Parking lot has seen better days, but that's a nit pick -Booth felt a little tight, but it's a nit pick Bottom line: -This place is on the outer layers of my frequenting range, but Tina's hospitality alone probably earned Stone Eagle a few extra visits. Kudos.

Overpriced and bad food the few times I've been there. Plus, the bartender didn't card me and made my drink wrong. It's just not the place for me although it seems to get a decent amount of business. Outside looks cool.

While I usually have a 4-star visit at Stone Eagle, my visit on Sunday was updated to a 5 thanks to my server Caitlin who made sure everything was perfect. Her recommendations were excellent and she made sure the wonderful leftovers were bagged appropriately and with her dessert recommendation of Twix cheesecake, I have taste treats for home. She was the best server I've encountered at Stone Eagle; please keep her, Jimmy! Thanks also to hostess Tina who also checked that all was perfect. By the way, calamari, steak & potato special with cheesecake to go is highly recommended! Karen Frayne

Niclole is a fantastic waitress!! The owner greeted us and was so welcoming The food was the best!! Perfect food great taste !! Cooked perfectly! The decor is super fun and so neat to look at. We found our new favorite place!!

Food is just ok. Wine order was wrong, steak undercooked, food is bland and overly greasy.

Delicious food, delightful staff and fun atmosphere. We visited for dinner and were greeted at the door and seated by Jimmy. Bartender Nicole asked our names and amazingly addressed us and every other guest by name during the visit. So welcoming and special. Everything we ordered was exceptional - Caesar salad, filet mignon, blackened scallops and risotto. Favorites were homemade baked beans and freshly sliced tomato appetizer. After dinner, Tina took extra time to show us around the oyster bar and Eagle's Nest. Really special night. Can't wait to go back again!

Great food make sure you try their steaks. Delightful atmosphere personal attention by the owner's. Very generous portions, in fact some like the calamari appetizer can feed 5 or more people.

Good food and great portions. You get what you pay for and then some. We will go back sometime. Friendly and accommodating staff.

I come here every time I come to Rockford but it never seems that busy. Never had a bad meal, price is great, and they have an awesome selection of food and drinks. Nice relaxed professional atmosphere...no complaints!
