When I first went here, I thought it was gonna have a night of fine dining. But when I went there, I was brutally wrong. The service was terrible and it took forever to get seated. The food was OK but it took literally 40 years for it to come. It's not like I'm saying it's better than McDonald's but personally it's not that good. This is my dad's least favorite restaurant and we used to go there a lot but now it's very bad and not fun. The theme of the store is pretty good. Looking like an old garage, but it took a very long time for the food to come. You would be better off going to a different restaurant.

Came here with coworkers after a volunteer day and just randomly discovered this place. First the decor inside is so cute it's like a Texarkana gas stop off Route 66 vibe. Got the burger because I saw pictures on google and it did not disappoint. Their fries were great too. I only wish they had a slightly bigger menu.

Stopped in on a whim, best whim stop in long time. Jess, Ethan (server) were absolutely great and welcoming. Food was very good. I had the cheese steak, wife had the salmon burger. Stop in say hello, have a drink, and good conversation!!!

Was with the family and sat for 15-20 minutes with no service even though there was only a party of 5 sitting at corner of the bar in the entire establishment. The staff of around 7-8 was busy taking photos and on their phones. It could have been at least a bit bearable if they showed the NFL games, since it was a Sunday, but they would not change the channels of ALL the televisions from a rerun of a UFC event. Upon leaving and expessing concern for the lack of service, there was little reaction…almost like when we arrived.

Fun place to have lunch with grandkids and daughter in law. I had the burger and the kids had the cheese burger and fries. Loved the Halloween decorations.

We eat here frequently. It never disappoints. The staff is great. Food is way above what you would expect. Everything is made in house and is always fantastic.

We love the outdoor dining here due to the nice patio, great food, and casual vibe. It's very popular, so we try to go there early to avoid the crowd of other fans.

We came here while visiting family. There was a good selection of beers, and the portions were generous. The chicken tacos and shrimp tacos were very good. Service was quick and we enjoyed eating outside. Definitely worth a visit

As someone that is still not doing indoor dining, I really appreciated the outdoor space at Fred's Garage. There are overhead heat lamps for cooler times and I'm curious to see how late in the season they will stay open outdoors. The Gerald McClendon band was spectacular! The menu although simple, was executed really well. We loved the barbecue chicken wings that were finished on the grill and the salads were super! Top it all off with stellar service and it all added up to a great night out!

The bald guy (not sure if he’s the manager or owner) is the most rude, scariest person I’ve ever seen. Not sure how these poor servers can work with him. He is the reason I will not be coming back here. He acts like HES doing the customers a favor, when we are the ones paying. First impression of him was over a yr ago of him yelling at a server (idk what for) in front of the whole restaurant, so unprofessional. Second time, was when we walked in he literally scolded us and told us to leave because there wasn’t enough tables…. I guess he’s never heard of a waitlist lmao. Everytime I see him he’s mean mugging customers and looks like he wants to punch someone In the face. The food used to taste better, it’s not worth it anymore to deal with severe anxiety walking in hoping the owner doesn’t yell at you in front of the whole restaurant. I don’t even want to think about what he’s capable of doing to the food in the kitchen when he’s having a bad day, which seems like it’s very often.

I have been to Fred’s Garage several times. Usually, the food has been good and service excellent. My most recent visit was not a good experience. What they purport as shredded pork tacos was disappointing and frankly, disgusting. I never returned a food item in my life, until I order the tacos. The tacos were little square pieces of pork, underseasoned and dry. Shredded pork is supposed to be shredded, juicy and well seasoned. I returned the dish and ordered a yummy smash burger which I have had many times. I wanted to try something new. However, the pork tacos were terrible, and until they change the recipe. should be removed from the menu.

Food was good, service from our waiter and hostess was good. What rubbed me and my friends the wrong way was this male employee who seemed to either be the GM or owner (not our actual waiter) blatantly came up to our table in passing as we were closing out and unsolicitedly said “you tip 20%”. I worked in the service industry for a long time and that’s just completely unprofessional and out of line for a worker to blurt out to a table in the middle of service.
