Cant go wrong at Don & Dona's. Kathy and staff are great!
Excellent breakfast and great service
Love the variety on the buffet as well as knowing I can get fresh eggs fixed made to my liking.
Best place for the family recipe for Biscuits and Gravy, Home fries..if you haven't tasted it, you are missing out.

Excellent food, atmosphere and service! Never disappoints!
Wonderful service , great food and affordable prices! We love local!
Their website menu needs to updated!! Most sandwich prices were a $1.50 or more then on the site.
The food is nothing like it use to be. Service was terrible. Will never go back

So I'm not trying to bash this place, but I've eaten at don and donna's since I can remember till we moved out of state in 2004. The “Original Don and Donnas†was something to talk about. You could go in anytime and just listen to numerous stories from the whole town and listen to the old men talk about fishing. This is what don and donnas was known for besides the biscuits and gravy. But now this so called “historic don and donnas†is nothing of the same. Now the glasses and coffee mugs all match, they have matching plates now and the biscuits and gravy is made with water. And theres no way the fried potatoes are deep fried anymore either.
Great place located downtown Franklin. I had an awesome breakfast with friends. This restaurant has a liquor license so you can have early morning cocktails with your breakfast. Have fun enjoy. YAY!!
First time being there with a family of 4. The 2 boys went and got the buffet while the girls ordered pancakes. It was a total of 2 pancakes one each. After about an hour of waiting the girls never got there food and the buffet had almost no food. The food that we were able to salvage from the buffet was usually dry and didnt have a taste to it. The server we had was very rude and really didnt care about what she said or what she was telling us and seemed really rushed to go back behind the register and get on her phone. Overall I would probably never go there again and giving this place 2 stars is very generous for having to leave without the girls being able to even eat.
Great food, atmosphere and people! Oh yeah, and a retractable roof! (When it's nice, of course.)
Worst dining experience ever ?!? Arrived with my family of 4 for brunch around noon. We waited an unacceptable amount of time at the hostess booth which appeared to be unstaffed ? *crickets* *crickets* After finally being seated we waited again ... *crickets* *crickets* When a server finally arrived ~ 5 minutes later, she took our drink orders and then walked away (no menus)... When she finally returned, again ~5 minutes later she assumed that we all wanted the "buffet", still no menus, but my wife and daughter actually had to speak up and order as they wanted to order pancakes, she took their order while my son and myself would be ordering the buffet. The buffet selection was sparse and flavorwise was just mediocore. My son and I both finished our meals at the buffet which took ~ 40 minutes, but my wife and daughter still had yet to receive their order of pancakes ?!? We decided to leave and pay our bill and the server acted as though she was doing us a favor for removing the two orders of pancakes that we didn't receive from our bill ?!? Seriously ?!?
