I did not think this place was anything too special. The tacos I ordered were okay, and tasted very bland. I did enjoy the salsa with the house made chips. Our server was kind and attentive and made ordering our food and receiving our check very easy. The atmosphere is fun and had good music. I’d give it another chance, but maybe just for drinks.

I would recommend that people do not patronize this business. They pay their servers and bartenders $2 per hour! That’s disgusting for any restaurant in our area, especially when eating there will cost you $25-$30, for some tacos. There are plenty of other places in the area that you could patronize, that actually pay their employees a decent wage!

I had the Monon Honey Bee drink. It was delicious ?! I also had the La Gringa and Baja San Diego tacos. They were also equally delicious. The Baja was a fish taco with great flavor. I added some habanero salsa to it to turn the heat ? up.
Overall, everything was yummy and service was good. I would return for another round of deliciousness. ?

Placed a $400 catering order for an executive staff meeting. The delivery was on time, packaged well, and the catering manager was so lovely. We got a taco bar, a few sides, chips and dips, and desserts. All fantastic. The portion sizes were wonderful and the quality of food was great. I had senior staff coming to find me to ask where it was from and say it was delicious. Worked out great to ensure my vegetarian and gluten free staff members could easily eat.

This place is not what it used to be when it opened. It accommodates the “turn up and mimosas” crowd more than anything. Maybe it’s just when I went? While that may be profitable for a while, the ppl want some real authentic Mexican/mex American food on the menu. There used be carne asada and all types of fusion Mexican food on the menu but now they serve biscuits and gravy and a bunch of weird things. Maybe we went on the wrong day for the “brunch” menu but why yall switching the menus anyway? Well, just my opinion. I want to keep coming back tho
I've always known that Cholita is an awesome spot to grab lunch or dinner, but I've recently learned it's also an excellent source for catering and private events! Chelsea and Jessie are total pros when it comes to private events and made our experience flawless. My group had an amazing time there for a recent event where we rented the entire restaurant. Everyone raved about how good the food was, and our bartenders, Lena and Kylee, were so on top of things. No one was ever waiting for a drink! Highly recommend this place for all your event and catering needs, or just the perfect spot to grab some tacos and a fresh margarita in Broad Ripple.

The food was fantastic! I had the lunch special, which is 2 tacos of your choice, salsa, guacamole, chips, and beans. I had La Gringa and the Vampire tacos and loved them both! I am typically a very picky eater, but I was incredibly happy with my food. The only thing I did not care for was my Mockarita (nonalcoholic margarita) because it had a gingery base, but that is just a matter of preference. Our server, Lena, was very hospitable and sweet. It was a nice day, so we sat outside. The atmosphere is very nice. Despite the view of many people, Broad Ripple Avenue is now very safe during the day. Construction is minimal. At this time (9 August 2024), there is approximately 15 yards of sidewalk repairs, but that's it! I will definitely return the next time I am in the area!
