LOVED this place. The service was spectacular, and the food was off the chain. I consider myself a pancake conisseuer and I must say that Hotcakes Emporium has great, light, and fluffy pancakes.

The country fried steak and gravy was the best that I have ever had. The eggs, potatoes, and pancakes just added to it.The portion sizes were perfect as I left full but not stuffed.Definitely will be back.

I've been eating breakfast with my family for the past two years at this cozy restaurant. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The older lady at the registration is always teaching me a new word in Spanish every time I visit this place. The service is not bad, I don't have to keep asking for water. They know how much I love water, lol.The food is great and affordable. I've never paid over $30 for breakfast for 2 adults and a toddler (of course we share). I only gave it 4 stars because the gluten-free pancakes aren't as good as they were last year. The quality has changed, and they don't look appealing at all. They actually look undone with a weird aftertaste. I wouldn't get the GF pancakes for those of you who are going for this purpose. I also recommend not going anytime after 1pm.Kid-friendliness: The lady at the front loves kids.

We chose this place because my nieces and nephew wanted to check out a new place they've never been to since I'm visiting. We walked in and were immediately taken to our booth. The restaurant has an extensive menu with lots of choices of breakfast and lunch items. It took me a while to try to focus on something to get. There were several items that I wanted to try from the breakfast and lunch section.I chose the Hungryman Skillet, my nephew had the pancakes with sausage links from the Just For Kids section. My nieces had the Jalapeno Cheese Burrito and the Spinach, Bacon, and Swiss Omelete. The Hungryman Skillet was delicious with hash browns, onions, green peppers, ham, bacon, sausage and country gravy with two eggs any style on top. I chose to have my eggs sunny side up. The pancakes I sampled from my nephew was delicious. The service was great, our server and other servers frequently checked up on us asking how our meals were and topping off the coffee. I'll definitely try this place out again when I'm back in Indianapolis.

My first time here and the food was amazing with a great selection. I usually go to Lincoln Square but this place here just won my forever service.

The first time being there. Atmosphere and the service was top notch. The reason I gave the food 4 stars is it was good, but it could have been heated up a little more. Probably just sitting in the window waiting on the rest of the order to be done. Food did have a great taste though. We will definitely go back.
