It is now La Antiqua Mexican Restaurant. It was pretty average. I will give them another shot. Perhaps trying a lunch combo.

It's actually La Antigua now, food is excellent and very reasonable.

Awesome food especially if you want something unique in terms of flavor and presentation yet affordable. This is not a cookie cutter Mexican Restaurant. A very welcoming and unpretentious environment with nice decor. If you like cerveza, try the Sun King Pachanga

OMG ... This place is so good. I got an asada torta it was awesome but you had better be HUNGRY if you get it . Also use the mayo they give you it wakes the torta up so well

This place wasn't what I expected! They do a mix of popular US dishes and dishes from Mexico. It's a nice variety, especially if someone in your group prefers traditional items rather than Mexican dishes. Our waitress was very nice and helpful with the menu. The place had plenty of seating. It also had a stage area with photo props to take pics in. Our table got the queso blanco appetizer. Always a good choice! I wasn't super hungry so I got the Chicken nachos appetizer as my meal. They were so good! Definitely recommend, you get plenty which is nice.

Fast accurate service! Went on $2 taco night with the family and enjoyed a few different selections available. The vegetarian taco is super soggy but the others were tasty. You do not get chips and salsa like most places as a free appitizer with purchase but instead you pay $6 for a few chips and a couple small salsa dishes to share. There is an upcharge to change from corn torillas to flour (our son only eats flour) and cheese added is Aldi an additional charge. The waitress did not inform us of this yet instead just added it to our tab. Pretty good food for the taco deal

Tried cactus salad for the first time, delicious. Very enjoyable, great food, great service, family friendly with a cool bar.

Authentic Mexican. Not the heavy cheese laden stuff we are use to eating. Just try it.

Finally got a chance to try Ixca. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff was very friendly! I lucked out and went on a Tuesday! Taco Tuesday = $2 tacos!!! I got a carne asada and pastor. They both had great flavor. Each of the proteins were well seasoned and tender. The pastor taco came with roasted pineapple delicious and I'm not even a big pork gal. I will definitely be back with my friends soon! Can't wait to try more off the menu!

Great customer service. Clean and updated restaurant. But, the food is not great. Bland meat that's overly salty. I've gone back several times to try to give it a chance.... but left feeling less than satisfied every single time. You wont get any authentic taco flavors here. Even the spanish rice is boring. This is great for people who like Americanized versions of food though. Give it a try though, some people love it ‍♀️

Good, but pricier than what you'd might expect. It's fancier than your run of the mill taco stand. So...if you're feeling fancy, go for it. The food is phenomenal.

Clean and service was great. Food was yummy. Would like to see a slightly bigger menu selection.

It's not just the same standard combo plated you get at most other Mexican restaurants. Ixca has delicious and authentic foods and creative recipes. I've never eaten anything there that I didn't love. I especially recommend any of the tortas and the mole with chicken (not your usual mediocre red sauce kind of mole - this is legit house recipe black Oaxacan mole, and it's amazing).

Delicious guacamole! My husband had tacos and I had the chicken tamale. All of it was yummy! Highly recommend this place!

We went here on a rainy Saturday afternoon after a Zine festival at Irvington Vinyl and had never heard of or noticed it before! The inside felt very modern but also with the fun flair you may expect at a Mexican restaurant so it was a welcome shelter from the rain. We were greeted promptly and from a very friendly server and since the restaurant was not very full we were able to sit wherever we wanted right away. They did not have free chips and salsa that the bring to the table but they had the next best thing: PINWHEELS! I have no idea what you call these things, fried, wagon wheel shaped delciousness (they come on the side of your tacos at Revolucion, this is my point of reference) so I was pleased for that! We did order chips and queso which was delicious! My friend ordered a tamale recommended by the server, I am not a huge tamale fan but it was decent! I ordered a pastor taco and a carnitas taco. They did not look huge but they were VERY filling with some of the best verde sauce on the side that I have had in recent memory. We also ordered the "Ixcarita" which sounded super fun but did not have the best flavor. I believe these were made with agave wine instead of actual tequila which I wish I had known before but that's ok, it still looked super cute and since it had fruit in it I gave myself credit for a healthy serving of fruit for the day! Would definitely recommend coming in here for tacos and a beer!
