Saw a five star reviews on Google map and craving for some Japanese food so we gave it a try and not disappointed. We ordered Chirashi and tempura dinner. Food is good and the tempura dinner portion is huge. Slight complaints about the Chirashi bowl, the description said 15 pieces of assorted sliced fresh fish but I got only 11 pieces with 3 small cubes of imitation crab meats, no complaints about the quality of food by hopefully they will fix the description on the menu. The prices online are mostly dated and the menu price that people post 4-5 months ago also outdated. Food quality and service is good and we wish to come back in the near future to try other food and most likely will get the yummy tempura dinner again.

My recent experience at Sake Maru regrettably fell short of expectations, despite the restaurant’s appealing ambiance. While the ramen presentation aligned with aesthetic standards, the culinary execution left much to be desired. The broth lacked depth and seasoning, offering a muted flavor profile that did not complement the other components. The noodles were inconsistently prepared, leaning towards an overly soft texture.
Of particular note was the meat, which had a dry texture with a surprisingly dark core, raising concerns about quality and preparation. This element detracted significantly from the dish’s appeal. While the decor provides a visually engaging experience, the culinary offering requires refinement to meet anticipated dining standards. This was my first and, undoubtedly, my last time dining at Sake Maru.

I have eaten at many sushi places and this is it. If you want the real deal especially in land locked Indiana, look no further. The variety it top notch and quality incomparable. Also the owner was so sweet! Get there and enjoy!!!!

Had to put this place out. They have the best Spicy Tuna and Spicy Salmon rolls I have had in a long time. Diced fish instead of mash, it's not as traditional, has a ln amazing texture.
Ordered there the other night and got WAY more food than I asked for (reasonably). It was delicious. I would recommend this place.
The Miso soup was delicious ?.
