Step aside Starbucks, Philz, Peet's, etc. They all have nothing over Maple City. If you're in town grab a cup and buy a pound. Grind it yourself or have Maple grind it as you like it. Sumatra is my favorite. If your second home is out here you will find yourself taking a couple pounds back to your first.

The coffee is excellent. The customer service is not. My friend's daughter, who lives in the area, always sends it to her mother in Pittsburgh who shares it with me and gifts it for my birthday, etc. In November, she gave me two bags of the same flavor... one decaf and one regular. (I mix them.) Something was wrong with them both. The coffee beans are usually a little oily from the flavoring process. This time, they were dry and the coffee was so weak you could see through it. It was like the last bag made at the end of the day. I emailed about it and was told I'd receive replacements but never did. So basically $40 for tea-looking coffee with no taste.

I've had the pleasure of frequenting Maple City Roasters since I moved to Michigan City and it's a coffee enthusiast's dream come true. Trust me when I say this, you're unlikely to find coffee beans of this caliber at such an affordable price anywhere else.Maple City Roasters is a rare breed in our locality - they roast their own beans. The significance of freshly roasted beans cannot be overstated. They retain their natural oils which are responsible for the delightful aroma and flavor that coffee lovers crave. The difference between freshly roasted and store-bought beans can be likened to the difference between freshly baked bread and the pre-packaged variety - there's simply no comparison. In addition to their standard offerings, they also have flavored coffees - an absolute treat for the taste buds. You'd be excused for wondering if they add sugars to these because they're that delicious. But rest assured, there are no added sugars, just pure, flavorful coffee. (I had to ask to make sure)The variety here is impressive, with beans sourced from all around the world. Each variety brings its own unique flavor profile to the table, providing a delightful exploration of global coffee tastes. I enjoy the Sumatra Dark Roast myself, but often buy a little of everything and have not bought something I haven't found something to like about yet.The owner of Maple City Roasters is a huge part of why this place is so special. His friendly demeanor and extensive coffee knowledge make each visit a joy. Seeing him behind the counter, I'm always reassured that I'm in good hands. My usual haul? About 10 bags of coffee beans, a testament to the exceptional quality they offer. While I believe you can find their coffee in local Al's supermarkets, I strongly recommend visiting this store yourself. The experience of choosing from their extensive range and the aroma of fresh coffee is not to be missed. In short, Maple City Roasters comes with my highest recommendation. Whether you're a seasoned coffee aficionado or a casual drinker, this place is a must-visit for exceptional, freshly roasted coffee beans.

We stopped in here for coffee on a trip we took to Warren Dunes. This coffee was so good that I find myself sitting here back in Illinois still thinking about how I can get more. Just ordered some off their website! No frilly drinks, which is not a problem when you just want a great cup of coffee. I think we had the Bonzo blend, but can't honestly remember. Hope so, because that's what I ordered!

Very good fresh roasted coffee, and the sweetest owners! They gave us local spots to check out and were very kind.

This was our first time visiting. We had seen them at a festival and we were so happy to have stopped in. They made decaf fresh for me. We also bought whole bean coffee, which was amazing. My son got a chocolate chip muffin and was over the moon, only place in the area that you can get a refill for as long as they are open that day.

We have coffee shipped from Indiana to Oklahoma. We have never received a order that wasn't fresh! Very satisfied customers!!

Something about the customer service, or lack thereof, left a bad taste in my mouth. Me and my girlfriend walk-in 3 minutes before closing on Sunday, 10/16, and there wastwo ladies working, and then two other ladies were in a group together, so six people were in there as we walked in. My girlfriend and I pick out our two bags of coffee and step in line, giving the two ladies in front of us some space not to be rude. Five minutes or so pass, and some man walks in, cuts to make himself a coffee, and the ladies who made eye contact with me and my girlfriend SEVERAL times chose to help him first. To make things even better, the older lady working still refused to help at all while glaring at my girlfriend. Finally, they decided to help us after helping the man who cut. I try to pay, and the younger lady says the card is declined. I can see in my banking app that she never swiped the card. I probably won't return when we visit my parents, who live in the area.

Super-friendly, charming owners, roasting, brewing and selling great tasting beans. Not only the best coffee stop around the area, passing anywhere thru’ Michigan you really ought to call by :)

Nice place and pretty good coffee. The place was a little small, though.
