Fried biscuits and apple butter were delicious... Must try them!

Under new ownership, very little in the bakery portion, I assume you want to get there at open if you want to grab up a yummy treat until they get the hang of the foot traffic. Not much in the knick knacks portion of the shop, but maybe that will change to more of a restaurant.. which would be really cool in that building!

I visited with friends and their lunch menu was brief. It said they were under new ownership. Under sandwiches there were two choices and I chose chicken salad-- price $8.95 with chips. On the bill was an extra $4.00 charge for the bread. I have never ordered a sandwich from a sandwich menu and been charged extra for having bread on the sandwich. After all that's what a sandwich is! I was given two choices croissant or homemade white I chose homemade white. I asked for tap water there was a $2 charge for that Also an extra $1.12 for using a credit card-- So it became a very pricey small and ordinary chicken salad on white. We won't be back.

It's good, but not exceptional. I would go again and enjoy it, but probably not crave it.

Excellent little shop. Love their banana and pumpkin breads.

The main reason for the 3 star review was for the disorganized way that they were dealing with the large amount of customers. We stopped in on a busy Saturday afternoon. There was a long line but we decided to wait. I enjoyed the fact that the area where you waited in line was surrounded by shelves that had items for sale. We bought bacon aioli and honey mustard. For snacks we tried a variety of things between our group of 7. Our favorites were the root beer floats and the brownies. The float was quite large and it had a great ice cream to root beer ratio. They didn't seem to have an organized way to record or serve the orders which resulted in multiple mistakes and customers having to ask for items they ordered. I understand it was busy, but a little organization goes a long way.

We went to the Nashville General Store and Bakery for breakfast, what a nice surprise!! Friendly staff, delicious food and lots of pantry items and sundries. We ordered the Sausage, egg and cheese biscuits. The biscuit was homemade, and the sausage was exceptional-nicely spiced, not greasy, quite delicious!!! We split an order of the home fries. The coffee was piping hot. On to the best part--the Gooey Cinnamon rolls! These beauties were as big as my hand, served warm and gooey!

We stopped by and the place was closed and a for sale sign out front. We were so disappointed, we visited this place 10yrs ago and wanted to check them out again. If it's permanently closed the hrs should definitely reflect that on line and at the store.

Very eclectic, cute place offering lots of food and drinks. The decor is primitive/antique themed and adorable.

Had the most wonderful dinner here on A girlfriend trip somewhere between 18-20 years ago. Thought I would take the hubby and IU son here for breakfast to show off the place. What a disappointment! Must have changed owners and concept. No longer a sit down place. Orders taken at a counter and delivered to you on styrofoam plates at your sticky dining table. Biscuits and gravy tasted like out of a jar. Cinnamon French toast was better despite the individually packed syrup. Coffee, boiling hot coffee colored water. Cute store, however.

Great prices, quaint little spot with cute decor inside--you feel like you're having a meal at home! I would like to go back and buy some of their salsas and hot sauces from the store. Xoxo, Is this thing on?

Great General Store with lots to offer: food, baked goods, antiques, holiday home decor, jams, jellies, & more. There is cute outdoor seating next to a small creek. Public restrooms just around the corner from the General Store. Parking, like anywhere in Nashville, is difficult. But we were lucky enough to be driving down the road as someone was pulling out a parking spot in front of the store. We walked around inside, looked at everything there was to look at, bought some peach cobbler, & bought some chocolate chip cookies. Unfortunately neither were great - the peach cobbler was mostly dough (no cinnamon & hardly any peach slices). The store was cute & had great wooden Halloween decor pieces. Will def go back to walk around the store.

Wish we had of eaten there, food looked really good. Had several baked goods with lots of primitive items for sale. Quaint little place.

Lots of unique items in the shop. I had an iced mint chocolate coffee and it was very good. My sister-in-law had an iced white chocolate caramel coffee and she said it was really good. They were very busy when we were there. They also offer sandwiches and have indoor seating as well as picnic tables outside. Definitely a must stop when I'm Nashville, IN!
