Excellent food! The flavors were amazing! I'm so glad that we got to try out this restaurant for the first time, but so sad to know it will soon be gone. We had the Baharat Chicken, the swordfish and one other fish dish that I can't remember the name of. We really enjoyed our meal!

If you haven't treated yourself to Bantam, don't miss the chance to go--the chef is a true culinary artist! In both taste and appearance of each dish, there is so much attention to detail. We went 8/6/22 and Robert (? name) was an excellent server who made the experience even better. Our cocktails were delicious! We have tried many dishes at Bantam, and have never been disappointed. Last night I had the Barramundi, which is a fish I had never tried before. The fish was cooked perfectly and the glaze, rice, and vegetables blended beautifully with it. My husband and daughter loved their Fried Chicken Dinner (big portions, he even took a leg home!) and Rieff sandwich. We also tried the Sticky Califlower and potato empanadas, which were great. And then there was the dessert--you have to try whatever they are offering because, again, the details...an absolute treat! My first review: We went here for the first time for my birthday and all 6 in our party were very happy with our food and drinks! My favorite was the coconut shrimp, but we had a wide variety of items from the menu and they were all delicious. Make sure to try the empanadas! Our server was friendly and helpful, as well. We will definitely be back!

This place is great!The service was excellent, the beer selection was awesome, and the food was super yummy.If I had one gripe, it would be that I ordered the xxx-hot chicken sandwich and wasn’t even remotely hot. Like wouldn’t even hit the mild level at most hot chicken places. I suspect that was a fluke and I’m excited to try again to see if I can get one that’s actually hot. Regardless, my surprisingly mild chicken sandwich was delicious and I would absolutely get it again.If you’re looking for a properly Hot chicken sandwich, maybe look the server in the eye and say “tell them to make me regret this decision” or something along those lines haha.

Best food in the South Bend area in my opinion. They have a small but mighty menu and everything on it looks and tastes delicious. There is always something new to try. They have a great wine list and wonderful cocktails.

I haven't posted a review on yelp in years- but this restaurant was one of the best we've ever had in south bend. I hope they stay open for a very long time and do well because this community needs them. The food was absolutely fantastic (be warned though that the xxx sandwich is no joke!!) and service was impressive as it seemed to be a 3 person crew!! Food tasted delicious and presentation was awesome. Amazing, we will be back 100 times.

Dude.. the drinks were great... like really great. Not that I expected them to suck... but they were inspiring.. they really knocked the cocktails out both times I've been there. The food isn't slacking either. the location is handy, and the environment is nice.

I went here for the first time just two days ago, and I thought the food was great!! My sister-in-law suggested it and made a reservation for our mother and the two of us to go before we went to a flower thing in Michigan. The food was wonderful, and I would recommend it to anyone!!

Donte (cook/owner) is a FOOD GENIUS. I have never been disappointed and everything I have ever ordered is well worth the value and is a healthy portion. The food is absolutely incredible. The entrees are unique and change frequently. The cocktails are fantastic and are high quality. The mixology is very impressive and the liquors are good quality.I have seen some reviews that say they are “overpriced” or have “small portions”. Some people don’t understand there’s a price for quality. Everything is INCREDIBLY reasonable for what it is and if prices went up I would still be willing to eat here. For the quality, the prices are incredible. Those of you who think it is undersized or overpriced, I invite you to McDonalds for a couple Big Macs. Large portions and cheap prices, you’re welcome.

"We don't have that anymore." I select a new beer. "That tap just ran out." My third choice came back to me like this:

Heard some hype about Bantam so we went to check it out. Not going to comment on the ambiance, the setting, or that stuff, just the food. I have had great food at trashy dives. Anyhow, the fried chicken is really good! So close to amazing, but not quite there. Biscuits are delish. The deserts are nice as well. Kind of pricey overall, but the servings are large. Worth a trip.

The crab hushpuppies and fried chicken were the best! Fried chicken can definitely be shared between two. People aren't lying when they say it's the best in town. Sorry Metro! ?And the waiter twisted my arm (not that much) to get the donuts for dessert. Delicious!

You can’t rush perfection. Just when I thought I’ve eaten the best fish dish Chef Donte and crew has created an even better plate. Last Saturday was no exception with a perfectly crisp salmon that’s not over cooked down to the thoughtfully laid out appearance of roe that was really a micro diced red pepper dressing on top. The chicken empanadas were tastefully created. To finish our meal we tried the espresso donuts/beignets. Those were pillows of deliciousness tossed in a creamy glaze!
