I dined with a party of five. The service was terrific. We were never rushed. My steak was cooked to my specifications. All the sides were delicious. I was disappointed that escargot is no longer available. Nevertheless, I enjoyed their French onion soup as my appetizer; it was terrific....very hot and delicious. I have enjoyed eating at J. Ford's many times and I will definitely return.

Was seated next to the only table in the restaurant with a child and a high top near by that was ridiculously loud for such a nice, quiet place. Everything else from our service to our food was phenomenal though!
One of two favorite restaurants in town alongside Stables. My SO and I ordered the Porterhouse, and it was incredibly well made. The sides are always on point. Knowledgeable and attentive staff. Great drink list. Needless to say, we'll be coming back on a regular basis!

Everything about this place was a good experience. We had reservations elsewhere but were not happy with service. We got up, left and called J Ford's Black Angus. Luckily they were nice enough to understand our plight and were able to get my fiance and me in there short notice for an absolutely delectable meal. Thank you!

We celebrated a birthday with 8 on a Friday evening. The service was impeccable. Our waiter and his assistant were very attentive and thorough with our cocktail order and menu order. Filets were excellent, my favorite was the French onion soup. The specials were unique and plentiful. All the staff was friendly, the restrooms were spotless and very easy parking. The owner came by our table to say hello. We will definitely return next time we are in Terre Haute.Parking: Very easy, ground level parking, feet from entrance
