This place excellent all around! I grew up in this neighborhood and a place like this has been a LONG time coming. There are a few Mexican food places on La Brea within a few blocks which have always been overrated to me and poor quality. Well, don't even consider those other places before coming to El Limon (unless you want indigestion or a gut). The space is so well designed. It has open, fresh, and modern feel. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner featuring all your favorite tacos, salads, and small bites. Prices are great ($7-$9) for a plate of food, especially if you care about quality ingredients. The meat tastes fresh and the food doesn't leave you feeling bloated or lethargic.
Limited menu, but the food is delicious. My favorites, ahí tuna tar tar. I can eat there all week. Great chef. Friendly waiters. Great for socializing with wine, diner with the family.
Great place to get food and agua frescas! And they have great very good customer service. The girl in the afternoon is always nice and smiling !
Delicious every time. Never disappointed. Tacos de Calabasa are awesome!
Let's start with their Chips- The best chips I've ever had! They have this delicious Lemony flavor. The salsa is very decent. The Mexican dishes they have on their menu are as authentic as possible. The flavors are excellent. I had the Taco Sampler, comes with 4 mini tacos. They're not kidding when they call them "mini", they are very tiny, bite size. So if you're a big eater like me, please keep that in mind. My spouse ordered the Special of the day, which was Pork Chile Verde- it was truly authentic. My spouse knows authentic, he moved here from Guadalajara 4 years ago and hates all the fake"authentic" Mexican food from LA but this dish he said it reminded him of his grandmothers cooking. The beans were excellent with queso fresco! None of this "Mexican" yellow cheese, which by the way, there's no yellow cheese in Mexico. The rice was decent, good flavor. We liked this place so much we want back that same day for dinner! Guys this place is good! Give it try. The service was excellent! Prices are good, very reasonable. If I can make just 1 recommendation, maybe slightly bigger portions on some of the dishes.

Super prompt service. Chips and salsa were on the table as we sat down. Drinks came in less than a few mins. Food ordered great. Menu has excellent traditional selection. Large portions. Can't say enough great things about this place. Definitely a gem.
First visit, won't be last! Great service, gorgeous and delicious food, huge portions - a win on all points. Told the waiter. "Beef or chicken, not too spicy - surprise me". Wonderful meal appeared in no time! Every plate leaving the kitchen was vibrant and impressive, just like the massive bag of leftovers I'll be enjoying tomorrow!
Been going here for 11 years and the food is AMAZING!!! The waiters treat you like family and even when they are crazy busy they get your order right. I highly recommend it if you haven't tried it. The price is great for what you get too now I want some now. :) Jesus both of them are the best!
Food was amazing, their enchilada sauce is remarkable compared to nothing I have tasted before. The hospitality is great they make you feel like you are visiting old friends. I highly recommend this place

We had to stay at a hotel in Inglewood due to our flight being cancelled. We had the choice between a burger joint and La Fonda. We looked up the reviews and after eating there I see why they're good :) Sometimes it's the small places that are the best. Had a chicken burrito which was excellent. My wife had the rolled tacos which were also really good. Nice and crispy but very tender chicken in the middle. We probably won't be in a situation where we'll visit this place again but if we're nearby we'd definitely stop by.
Small restaurant, but clean and bathrooms are clean too. Very good service. Food was excellent. I asked for whole tilapia and was fresh and delicious. Was served with beans, rice, salad and tortillas.
I just ate here for the first time when I say this place food is the bomb I mean it. Food was so good I can't even explain. The employees are so sweet respectful good job I will be back for some more trust me...
Good food. Service is a little slow. Still the best menudo I've had in the South Bay.
Super service, which was so nice as we were tourists who speak no Spanish and aren't Mexican food conniseurs by any means. Our waiter had friendly and helpful tips that led us to pick amazing dishes. The horchata was fantastic and even had free refills!
