We absolutely love El Patron. Their food is always very tasty and comes out piping hot, the chips and queso are scrumptious and the margaritas are excellent. Everyone on the wait staff are extremely friendly and helpful. It is hands down our go-to restaurant!

We went during the Maple Leaf Festival and sat inside restaurant. The food tasted freezer burnt. The cheese enchiladas especially. I would not recommend El Patron in Baldwin City Ks.

My favorite Mexican place in Baldwin! Always exceptional service and the food is always outstanding. We always get the enchiladas but the burritos and quesadillas and ta os are all delish and on point. Love this place and highly recommend!

We weren't greeted. Someone just pointed us to the nearest table. We were not given any menus. First time here so we don't know what's on the menu. Waited for 10 minutes before our server acknowledged us and asked us what we wanted. We had to ask for a menu. Our drink order was messed up. We had a hair on our chips. The food was not good and the velveta cheese had a film on it like it had been sitting for a while. Our server came to our table a total of 3 times and we sat waiting for our ticket for longer than it took us to sit, order and eat. We spent $60 on food that wasn't even worth half that.

Food (taste, quality)- 5 ⭐️Service-5 ⭐️Value/cost-5⭐️Cleanliness-5 ⭐️Menu options-5 ⭐️Came here for the first time while visiting from out of state. I love Mexican food and have it at least twice a week. El Patron has plenty of authentic dishes and accents. The restaurant is nicely decorated in Mexican decor. The menu has a lot of options! It was very hard to decide on one thing. They immediately brought out baskets of chips and cups of salsa. We ordered some guacamole. It was delicious. Very we made!I had a glass of sangria. It didn’t have any fruit in it and but it was delicious. I settled on the lunch special chicken chimichanga. It came with refried beans and yellow rice. I was able to eat everything but 1/2 of the chimichanga. My daughter ordered the shrimp tacos. She said it was really good! My sister got the plate with 4 different kinds of tacos. She said they were delicious! It came with 4. She took two home. My sister in law got a small margarita and taquitos. She said they were really good. My brother got some French fries with beef strips and cheese on them. The kids shared a quesadilla. My portion of the bill, which was the two guacamole’s, the shrimp tacos, the chicken chimichanga, the sangria and a coke, was $47 before tip. Not bad since we had enough leftovers for my husband to have an entire meal out of it. So, $47 for 3 people. The waiter was great and I tipped him 25%. They were very attentive to our large party of 10.They also have outdoor eating which looked really nice on a spring day.I will definitely be back!

The food is excellent. Always fresh, hot, and tasty. The rice has always been moist and never dry. The only thing I marked down on was the attentiveness of the waiters..I hate drinking beer from a bottle unless it's at a picnic....in a restaurant, I expect a glass but the waiter is too fast for me to request a glass.

Excellent food and service! Highly recommend the Choriqueso. The enchiladas are also good-best enchilada sauce. Margs are yummy too.
