While it wasn't what we expected, we had a great time. Pat and staff at the bar were a blast! Staff that delivered room service were top notch. Make the most of your stay.
So we absolutely loved our stay at Chateau Avalon! The people were wonderful, the bar has daily happy hour (4-7pm 50% off) and it's tucked into the trees so you feel away from the crazy of the city. We did notice a few things were broke in our room. All 'display' or visual things that didn't change our stay. Just something that should probably be taken care of for the price of the rooms. It was a large room and we loved the layout. We will be recommending this stay to others! Hope to be back again as well!
We stayed in an Egyptian room. It's a beautiful room with a jacuzzi tub/shower. First I'll state the good things about our stay. The bed was comfortable and clean. The tub was awesome although the jets could use a thorough cleaning. Never used the shower though, it dripped on us constantly while we were in the tub. The bar was super fun and our bartender Pat was amazing! The negatives about our stay: the room didn't have a microwave or coffee maker. Room service was nice but expensive and the food was mediocre. Definitely not worth what I paid for it. Breakfast was not included which was a bummer. There was a charge for everything. I can stay at the Holiday Inn for less, in a much cleaner room, tub is clean, Breakfast is included, there's a coffee maker and microwave in the room and it's less expensive. Overall, I'm disappointed with Chateau Avalon and will not go back. Hope this helps.
It was nice. Front desk very nice and helpful. I will would be 5 star but we had to clean tub before use. Also carpet seems to need cleaning. Nice bed and room was very quiet!
My wife and I stayed in the Camelot suite for our first anniversary. Love the room love the theme we had a wonderful time. We also had couples massages that we thoroughly enjoyed and felt was worth the value. The hotel overall is very interesting and has a great concept. We look forward to experiencing other room Adventures. The only negative feedback I can mention is the fact that when we booked our room and massages they failed to recognize that the spa was closed on the date that we chose. Six months later in one week away from our stay they called to inform us of this miscommunication. Fortunately they made the accommodations to honor our original choices.
Me and my husband stayed in the African Serengeti room and it was so much fun. The building is beautiful and the whole place is clean, which means a lot especially right now during Covid. There was a jacuzzi in the room which was so relaxing. We loved the bar, the drinks were amazing & not to mention half off for happy hour... needless to say it was a great night. Me and my husband will be there again!
We stayed here for a Ladies Spiritual Retreat. The Women of Faith Conference was cancelled, but we still came and spent time in devotional study and prayer for our country. The room, the service, the spa, and the food were impeccable. When we asked for anything , from a bottle opener to extra chairs, the staff was QUICK to respond and graciously met any of our needs. We loved the relaxing, jet tub and the luxurious, comfy mattress. Thank you for a lovely and rejuvenating weekend retreat!
We stayed here last year, the room was amazing. We went to the bar and Pat was absolutely amazing. His “patini” and yes I still remember a year later was awesome! We had a blast in the bar with Pat talking and learning about the bar and hotel. When we went to our show the couple we sat with told us they had stayed at the hotel as well and also remembered Pat and his “signature” drink. If we ever found ourselves that way again we would definitely stay here again. Pat truly made the experience!
My husband and I stayed here the other night on our wedding night and it was absolutely amazing. We stayed in the Hemingway suite and it was so cozy. The huge soaker tub and waterfall shower were so nice! Having breakfast delivered to our room that morning was just the cherry on top. I loved that we got to customize our order and even specify a time we wanted it delivered. We also suuuper loved the noon check out time but appreciated the flexibility they offered us if we wanted to check out later than that.
Had a great time at Chateau Avalon, mostly because of their awesome bar, the d'Nile and it's bartender, Pat. While our room was a bit of a let down, it, along with the hotel, was beautiful. The room did not have adequate plugins, the main light switch was for the whole room (no peacefully laying in bed while someone was in the restroom) and the chess board had no pieces provided. If it wasn't for our time at the d'Nile, we probably wouldn't visit again. Happy relaxing Yelpers!
Saved the vacation! After having to switch hotels. We found a hidden surprise and the best experience I have ever had at a hotel. Exceptional customer service by the Service staff. Extraordinary accommodations. The room was quaint and romantic. D’Nile lounge bar was the perfect way to end a terrible experience at the other hotel but start a wonderful night at this new place! Pat the bartender know what I wanted to drink before I even knew. Best cocktails I have ever had well with the price!! We will be back for sure and are extremely excited to see what the other rooms look like, 23 different themes rooms I can’t wait!!Thank you is just not enough to express our gratitude!! 110% recommended!!
The room was very adventurous! The decor was phenomenal! For the price, I expected it to be flawless, but noticed unpainted drywall in the jacuzzi area which messed with my relaxation. There also was a lack of outlets near the bed, and in fact, upstairs period. There were only 2, and the television and fan were plugged into those. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and look forward to possibly visiting again and exploring another room.
We came here as a spur of the moment decision and we were not disappointed at all. The room was far beyond our expectations and the staff was very nice. There's a little journal on the table from everyone who has stayed here and they write little notes and such, awesome tradition. Breakfast was delicious and we will be definitely be coming back to stay.
Reserved a room for a 2 nights to surprise my wife with our first weekend away in a few years. First night we did celebrate happily. Woke up the next morning only to realize we could hear everything going on in the hallway and hear our neighbors watching TV so I can only imagine what their thoughts were. I stand 6' and could not stand upright in the shower without hugging the the shower head. Our bed was clearly very old as it had no support and sunk down in the center. For the morning breakfast we ordered eggs, bacon, and cinnamon roll/ muffin. Bacon and muffin were excellent. Eggs were clearly made from powder and not good. I had better powdered eggs in the military. For the rate of the room I expected something more modern. They clearly haven't been updated since the early 2000's. Staff was extremely friendly, but when I called to reserve the room I was quoted one price. After our stay and I had settled up I received another charge a week later. When I called to inquire I was told I actually asked for 2 seperate packages. I did not. Clearly I misunderstood something when reserving the room so I can just chalk this one up to miscommunication/ misunderstanding. I did ask to speak to a manager and was told she would call me when she came in again. It's been 2 weeks and I'm still waiting for that call. Pretty sure they got their money and don't care to check in. If they do I'll update my review.
I was doing photography for a wedding by the fountain the owner came out and introduced himself and was very kind!! Beautiful scenery and fountain...I am looking forward to our visit there soon. I cannot wait for the spa portion!!!
