I have to echo what I'm reading from most of these reviews. If you're in the Turner/South KC area and you're looking for good, affordable food, you need to stop by Sunny China.I've been eating at Sunny China since it opened and it is probably the only restaurant I can think of that I've never left disappointed. Their food is delicious, well priced and their portions are ridiculously large - so much so that my wife and I typically split their lunch combo plates (the smaller portion sizes) and sometimes still end up with a few bites to put in the refrigerator.There is legitimately nothing I wouldn't recommend off their menu. If you're a crab rangoon fan, I think they might have the best in the city. Super creamy with just a touch of sweetness. I could eat 10 of them for lunch just by themselves.Also, I have to touch on some of the negative comments here, typically relating to the owner's attitude. The staff is very quick, to the point and efficient. They're not conversationalists, but never have I felt they were being rude. At the end of the day though, I'm here for quick, delicious, affordable food - not 'service with a smile'. I cannot recommend this restaurant more.

I've been going here for over two decades. They are so fast and the food is amazing. For my entire childhood anytime I was sick my mother would get me sunny China and almost every time I would be better the next day. They are the epitome of comfort food! I will say, I do miss the lemon chicken so much. I'm not sure why they don't have it anymoreVegetarian options: The tso's tofu is so good and veggie rice and noodles!
the BEST chinese restaurant in the area! Amazing crab/cream cheese rangoon, and HUGE delicious portions of fried rice.

Rudest owners ever! Consistently. The place is filthy and smells horrible like mold and sewer gas backup from plumbing. I did not even want to sit at a table to wait for takeout with all the built up gunk all over the chairs and filthy tables. Love chinese food and is only one in area is only reason it stays open. I recently visited area after many yrs and hoped it may be better or new owners but no, just as bad and owner just as rude. Other people waiting confirmed that they are still rude as ever, and think they just think they are superior to the lower income whites that are their customers mostly in this area. People really need to take their money elsewhere even if more inconvenient.These owners do not deserve to be enriched by people they act like they despise! Food quality is inconsistent and prices too high for area. Can go to a much better chinese sit down restaurant for these prices!

I have been going to this restaurant with my parents when I was a kid. I got an order today after almost 8 years and the food still smell and tastes amazing. Which says lot with our food nowadays.the restaurant gives low key and homie feeling. I thank you for my dinner tonight.

Sunny China will always be my jam. The food is always great, and I noticed reviews where the people complained about the ladies attitude... Well,,I've been going there for years(almost ten) and that's just her. It's not personal. She's running a business, I've watched her kids grow up and go to college, which means to me, she's running a successful business and taking care of home. That's admirable. Cut her some slack. I ordered one time, and my rice had been left out, I didn't even notice, but by the time I had my seat belt on, the husband was tapping on my window to hand it to me. I've never been able to complain about the food, and it's always been more than ample for the cost.

First time trying them and I was happy. My food was very good the only thing that was wrong they put carrots in it. And I ask for no carrots just broccoli and chicken in curry sauce. And the crab Rangoon was an lil to creamy. But other than those two things my food was good and my husband was happy as well.Parking: They're just lil to close so I park further out.
