If I could give a zero I would. We are traveling from Fl to WA state. Stopped in KS and ordered from here because it was one of the few places open. We ordered through Uber- Fireside got our order wrong. I call up and speak to a nice lady- she said she will try to get another driver out and fix the problem- great. I call a while later because I have not heard from anyone and get a bar tender. He didn’t know what was going on, which is expected, and transferred me to Dave- apparently the GM. He sounded extremely intoxicated. After rambling on and on about how he is the GM and will make it right because he doesn’t want anyone coming into his place and getting bad service, and asking what I wanted- he hung up on me! I have been traveling for 8 hours, with a 2 year old- that is hungry and extremely tired. I ordered 4 meals, and fried pickles. We got two meals, fried pickles, and some gross looking fried chicken that we didn’t order. They didn’t include my toddlers meal or mine. Unbelievable! This is our first experience with KS and this “restaurant”, and I can tell you, I am not a fan. Absolutely horrible, intoxicated customer service and a whole lot of headache. Stay far away from this place!

chose this place over a different place because the other place didn't have mac & cheese. we were greeted by friendly staff, our server apologized for our wait, and he was very easy to talk to. i ordered the pulled chicken sandwich and my girlfriend ordered the pulled pork sandwich, both with sides of mac. the sandwiches were GREAT and so was the mac & cheese. (i recommend putting the mac on the sandwich too) both dishes were great on their own, which is very hard to come by. we don't live in KC but we definitely have a new go-to spot. we found Fireside by accident, but i'm glad we did. thanks guys.

The people here! I don't even have words to describe how amazing they are. Just good, friendly, awesome folks. They treated me with pure hospitality and respect the 2 times I've been here. I am an over the road truck driver, and they're super truck friendly. The BBQ is good enough that I drove 35 miles out of my way to stop here for lunch! I'm from Texas and have cooked competition BBQ for years, so I'm very, very picky. This strip center,, dive bar, serving BBQ out of it is an absolute oxymoron, but damn, do they make it work! Excellent people and even better smoked meat!!

We ordered "to-go" so rating is based solely on the food. At 14.00 a sandwich you'd expect a large portion of meat, instead you get maybe 2 Tablespoons worth which ended up being moot bc the sandwiches were nearly inedible. The meat was extremely overcooked and dry, the " D-og" sauce taste was equivalent to water. Save your money and go literally anywhere else for some decent bbq.

Wow, what a fantastic experience. The environment has a locals vibe but also embodied an atmosphere that would be best described as "pre-covid" everyone was smiling, friendly. Enjoying video bingo, and the food... omgosh where do I begin? The plates are a very nice touch rectangle and black, perfect for the half rack I devoured! And with enough room for my BBQ beans which for the first time I was amazed they didn't have any meat in them but yet had the BBQ flavor! Such an awesome experience The GM is great, and makes you feel like a regular. I will for sure be back!

We ordered delivery, they called asking if we could pick it up because they did not have a driver. No problem. We get home and we ordered 2 ribs and 2 meat dinner. We didn't get our ribs, stuffed mushrooms were cold and sausage we ordered is not what we expected. Gross. Sausage is like a salty Salisbury Steak. Brisket is way too dry also. People that left good reviews must have been drunk. Sorry not sorry. Not worth $41.00 we spent.

Amazing service, great staff, really good sandwiches. I'm not always a fan of BBQ, but driving through KC, we had to try it. Their spicy BBQ sauce had so much flavor without dominating the sandwich. The meats were good and their specialty shots taste great. Really enjoyed our visit.

The food was sooooo good! The macncheese was super creamy and tasty. The fried onion rings on the sandwich added a nice crisp. Now those pickles, next time I'll order some extra on the side! I will definitely keep this as a bbq go to!
The BEST chicken wings!!!!I got the pound (seemed more than a pound LOL) with the sweet sauce.I have no tolerance for spicy hot things burning my mouth LOL...so if you like and can tolerate a little tiny bit of heat, then go with that one! They were perfect, not too hot, not too sweet, good size wings and the char on them was just right!I highly recommend these!! ❤❤

So I like to go to privately owned restaurants near me, especially now. I went here at around 1:00 PM. Regular lunch time. There were three other customers in there at the time. Two of them were talking politics, Oh boy. The sign said seat yourself and I did. And I waited, and waited. No one greeted me, brought me a menu, or even acknowledged that I exist. So I left and went to the restaurant next door. So no thank you.

The Giant Smoked Chicken Tenders are the best thing. Out of this world yummy. Highly recommend. They are actually deliciously battered chicken breasts. Not anything like your usual chicken tender
