This place never disappoints. They serve good dishes for fair prices, there is no waiting time even when the place is loaded.

Fantastic, homey Italian cafe style restaurant! Great service with delicious food. The homemade sauces, meatballs, and salad dressings are phenomenal! Definitely going to be back here to try more.

Lori Gossenauer

Friendly staff, comfortable atmosphere, amazing homemade Italian dressing, meatballs and red sauce!

1st time in. Neat little place and I think our group were the only ones that weren't regulars and friends of everyone in the place. Great and friendly service. I had more coke zeros than i needed but never complain about full drinks. I ordered a sausage and pepperoni pizza that was fantastic. The sausage was real ground all over the pizza. As a matter of fact, they don't skimp on toppings at all. The crust is thin and crispy. Sauce good but not heavy. A lady at our table asked a man sitting by us what kind of pizza he ordered and he was so nice he brought her a littLe bite of his. Definitely be back for the pizza.

I have always loved this restaurant. They have the best lasagna. It is reasonably priced.

Really good, bread is phenomenal. The spaghetti could use a little less Garlic

Local favorite, nothing fancy, simple but good food.

Service was great! But the food was bland. The salad dressing had to be the most flavorful thing I ate. The bread is literally just bread, I could get the same level of flavor by eating plain wonder bread at home. Seriously a little butter and garlic goes a long way. Bread could have been toasted too. The spaghetti with tomato sauce was cooked well, but the sauce tasted like they opened a jar of ragu and poured it on top. Nothing I ate today was prepared fresh and it shows. Salad was pre packaged, bread was store bought with zero effort to add flavor, spaghetti was slapped together with as least effort as possible.

Good but not as good as his Dad's recipe. We don't go there to eat as often as we use to.

Fairly Decent Comedy

Family owned local business . Friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Good food.

Best pizza in Kansas City and has been for years. Wife and I ate here again on 7/24/19 and had the 'Villa Capri Special' Pizza. Crisp crust. They don't skimp on the toppings. The taste is fantastic. This is what good pizza is supposed to be like. Go here!!!!!!

I ordered the meatball sandwich special with a salad instead of chips. The salad came right out of bag and the Italian dressing was way too sweet. The sandwich was pretty weak, too. Just nothing special about it, with maybe the bread as the exception. Probably too much bread crumbs in the meatballs.

great place homie good times!

Old school Italian food. This family owned and operated restaurant is simple goodness. You will not find fussy modern food here. If your into pasta, sandwiches or pizza give them a try. Daily lunch specials are a great deal. I like the bread they bring to the table and the Italian dressing is house specialty (it has fennel seed in it) Closed Sunday & Monday.

We ended up at Steve's based on other reviews that this place has the best mozzarella sticks. I'll agree with those reviews that the mozzarella was really good. However, we were not impressed with the spaghetti sauce. The marinara sauce was very plain and needed more seasoning. My son has the kid's pizza and I thought it was just so-so. Nothing was bad or inedible, but we didn't love it.

Pork slice sandwich was tasty and sizable. The homemade sausage sandwich was not worth it. The sausage was overloaded with cumin seeds and didn't taste like any I had ever eaten in my life. Service was fast and friendly. I put their menu up at work and several others said they liked the food there.

I have finally found a great Italian restaurant. A small old fashioned casual dining locale serving great tasting pasta and pizza. Had the chicken parmesana, ravioli with meatballs and the pizza. The pasta was well cooked and the meat balls were large. The pizza was a thin crust but not a cracker, with light sauce. Will definitely be returning.

Meatball sandwich was Awesome. Will be back again soon.

Ron Cluts

Love their pizza. The decor is good too. We dated in H. S. in '61, '62 and went here often.

Amazing food and great service!

First time at the new location. Food is still just as good as ever. Best house dressing, pizza, and fried mozzarella ever.

Alec Hildum

I had the meatball sub. I haven't had such a delicious meatball in 13 years since I last had my grandmother's home cooking.

James Butcher

If you like reheated frozen food, this is for you!

Mark Duncan

A disappointment in food. Little or no flavour. Lots of tomato sauce, could not find the meat in the meat sauce. Pretty bland overall. Ragu over noodles would have been better. A far cry from the old place on Metcalf and not even close to the original on Independence Avenue.

Dennis Dressler

LOVED this place when Tony had it off Metcalf, new digs but Steve has brought the same delicious recipes out south to 107th. Closest to 69 highway and 103rd street exit....Italian steaks, awesome pizza and any dish is sure to impress

I missed this place so much after it closed the Metcalf location. I accidentally stumbled on the new location. I loved my meal of ravioli.

disappointing over cooked coke machine is on point

My husband and I live in the area and we're dying for a local, cozy Italian joint to frequent. Tonight we tried Steve's Villa Capri. I'll start by saying the service was very good, and there were many locals/frequent flyers in the restaurant. We started with the toasted ravioli which was good, but a little over cooked. I had the lasagna with meat sauce which was pretty bland. I was pretty disappointed. My husband however got the Villa Capri Special Pizza. His meal was quite delicious! I think this may be our new spot for take out pizza. The owner was very sweet, and we'll be back. I just will know to stick to the pizza (the sandwiches seem promising too).
