I work just down the street and had not yet discovered this gem! The food was delicious, fast to come out and the staff was very nice! This has become my new go-to spot!

The owner is a very pleasant, engaging gentleman! Great suggestions off the menu. Wife and I left pleasantly full but not stuffed! She had the Egg Panwich, I had the Angry Irishman. Both were very good. Great selection of hot sauces. Excellent coffee that turned out to be a custom blend from local favorite The Roasterie.

In town on a weekend visit. I usually order corned beef hash whenever it's available at a breakfast/brunch joint. Glad I did today - maybe the best I've had! Real chunks of perfectly stringy meat, great flavor, perfect portion size. Overall menu had a unique take on several standard dishes. Hubby had the hash brown casserole, and it was excellent. Coffee was delish - the owner (who was our server) said they met with a local roaster to concoct their own blend of beans. As we paid our tab we were offered a refill to go - yes please. Don't pass up a chance to try this place!

We never realized how small this place is on the inside until we walked in today! It literally is a hole in the wall place. Family run business. Super friendly - very attentive. They noticed they had never seen us before so Wayne (the owner) took great care of us, offered suggestions, explained items. Place was packed and only went on a wait for two tables but people were constantly coming in. It's a little awkward when you walk in because there is no hostess, and so you find yourself standing in the middle of the dining area trying to figure out what to do. Thankfully a table got up right about 3 minutes after we came in so we were seated while they cleared the table off. The menu is small but has a great selection of breakfast and lunch that are both served all day. Hubs went with the angry Irishman breakfast which is a corned beef hash topped with gravy and two eggs. He said it was delicious about...10 times. I tried a bite of it and goodness it was tasty! I'll order that next time. I ordered an omlette where you are able to choose 4 Item to go in it. I chose the biscuit because you can get toast literally anywhere....the omlette was packed full of ingredients and the biscuit was home made and very good. We split an order of plain pancakes just to try out. We both weren't super impressed with those but everything else definitely "wowed" us. See ya again soon Wayne and staff. You've got a great thing Goin on here.

Visited the wooden spoon for the first time, wanted to try a new place and so happy we did, not only is the food fantastic and makes you wanna go back for more, the owners were wonderful as well, kinda made each customer feel like family and that's a rare thing these days. Although it's a small place it's so worth checking out if you haven't already, I know I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Almost 40 minutes after order got my small order of biscuits and gravy. 4 people who arrived 10-20 minutes after me got and finished their food before I got mine. I was out of tea for 10 minutes before I got a refill. Finished my food, and it was good, but I then put charge card on the table. She dropped bill on table on top of mybcharge card and never came back. Finally dug out cash and left on table. Another patron had put his charge card in the payment/receipt book 10 minutes earlier and spent that whole ten minutes waving at her. She would bus tables rather than check on her customers. Customer next to me sent coffee back as something was floating in it. It was 30 degrees outside and there is no wind break so everyone was bundled up as they apparently don't want to heat the restaurant in the winter.

We have been wanting to try The Wooden Spoon for a while now. We decided pretty quick that it would be a place we wouldn't return to very often upon walking in. It's TINY, chaotic, and you sit right on top of other patrons. We were stuck sitting next to the front door so we were blasted with cold air every couple of minutes, not a great way to eat brunch. The gentleman that took our order was nice but I was turned off by the fact that he wore gloves and never once did I see him change them We ordered a panwich, breakfast burrito, hashbrown casserole, and one biscuit with gravy. The panwich was not what I was hoping for. The pancake lacked buttermilk flavor, the texture of the egg and bacon was off, and they serve it with such a small portion of syrup, it left us to dry portions. I had to get up and ask for more syrup due to no one coming back to see how our food was. The biscuit was harder than a rock but the homemade gravy was great. The hasbrown casserole had an awesome flavor but was cooked unevenly, I was willing to look past this because it was the star out of all our choices. Now the breakfast burrito, it was presented neatly but that's as far as that went. The filling of the burrito was bland and wet and they didn't offer salsa or hot sauce. I asked one of the servers for salsa but probably shouldn't have. The salsa tasted like chopped tomatoes and had zero hints of anything else. Writing this review I feel guilty, I truly was excited to try something new and had high hopes based on other reviews. Unfortunately we won't return even if maybe it was just an off day for The Spoon.

Had the caramel macchiato pancakes. Absolutely delicious!!! I ate them two weeks ago and I still remember how good they were. Definitely a great place to eat. You won't regret it!

The food was fine. My daughter has a nut allergy and notified them when ordering. She ordered the caramel macchiato pancakes. When the meal came out, there looked like nuts on the pancake. I asked what it was and he replied, it’s Heath bar crumble. Well I told him Heath bar contains almonds. He looked clueless and a little perturbed that we wanted it returned and just plain pancakes. I would think the servers would know what dishes had nuts or not.

We love this local buisness. The owners are friendly and always working in the restaurant. The food is always good made from scratch family recipes. Highly recommend this local gem.

They also have some great bun options. The seating was limited but they have remodeled and have added extra seating. It can get busy for lunch so this extra seating is a great plus.We tried the Yang Yeom chicken covered in a Korean and Chinese fusion sweet and sour sauce with a bowl of white rice.

good food, but it's obvious that they want you to eat as quickly as possible to get the next people in.
