Ah, Long John's...where have you gone? I remember first visiting the very first LJS store in existence. The holding bin for the fish and chicken and hush puppies was see through and you could tell the person serving up your order which piece you wanted. Then you could go to the dining room, which always smelt of malt vinegar and tartar sauce, and grab one of those paper pirate hats to wear. Love the chicken, fish and huspuppies. Fries could be improved. Restaurant is very small and dirty with grease, could use a makeover. Been the same for over 30 years now. Never the less, good food and kind staff.

Friendly service and big portions, but the food was missing something. Coleslaw had too much vinegar and the breading on the chicken was tough. The hush puppies didn't taste like anything amd the fish was greasy.
