I love their salad bar. Almost anything you could want on a salad. I always order sirloin tips and a baked potato with the bar of coarse. If I don't get full on that they have a wide variety in their all you can eat hot food bar with ice cream, puddings and more for dessert.
By far the best restaurant in Hazard. I have eaten at every place in town several times and this place is heads above the rest. Best value for your dollar. Buffet is always fresh and has a great variety. Where else can you get meatloaf, fish, fried chicken, dumplings, and all the fixings for less than $10. The staff is super friendly and treat you like family, most of them call me by name and it makes me feel like I'm right at home. I highly recommend the chicken monterey.

We stopped by this place during a trip to Hazard. With Ponderosa not being a very common restaurant anymore we decided to stop and see if it was still as good as my wife and I remember. After dinner we agreed this was a great pit stop on our trip and plan on returning the next time we are in the area.
