Top notch coffee and top notch service, I was having some fun with it today and invented two drinks that weren't even on the menu and they were absolutely happy to oblige. My barista was a girl named Dan and she had a lot of fun putting them together, loved her attitude! If you go here you must try the Honey Bee as well, it's one of their specialty coffees and has a wonderful flavor.

The absolute best. The coffee is amazing, and they make the best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had! The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is great. 10/10

Best coffee in Lexington, Kentucky. I was extremely impressed with the speed of service at Common Grounds Coffee House! My specialty drink was ready before I even found my seat! More coffee shops in Lexington should pick upon this trend. The barista, Lukas, was absolutely amazing! good job, thank you!

I ordered a chocolate mocha and a bacon Joey on ciabatta bread. COVID-precautions include wearing masks and socially distanced seating. There is also outdoor seating. The coffee tasted great and the Joey is my favorite breakfast item to order. It's a great, small coffee house. Definitely recommend it! very nice for me

I was looking for good coffee in Lexington and found it. Very chill place. I also got a breakfast burrito. What a great choice. Good quality, fresh ingredients. Made to order. Much better than you could ever get from a chain. The coffee was so good I grabbed a bag of beans for home.

As I drank my first sip of coffee, I was immediately hit with the memories of my childhood. The smell reminded me of the brewed coffee Mama use to make on Sunday mornin, and the wood floors remind me of Papa carving wood from the trees in the backyard. Drinking coffee here is like tasting liquid gold from the cups of Greek gods & goddesses. The barista's always have a sparkle of hope in their eye and their natural beauty makes me feel beautiful too. The coffee may cause you to hug your nearest loved one, as the love of life embraces your whole body with each sip of exquisite, warm cup-o-joe. As I'm writing this, tears are forming as I think of flavor, atmosphere, and love I feel from this shop.

I loved my experience here! I had a zebra latte with an extra shot (always get an extra shot ;). It was well crafted. The atmosphere was great and what I look for in a good coffee shop - local art for sale, old furniture to sit on, corners to hide in, an old building, local murals painted on the walls, and solid coffee which has you coming back for more.

A great place to work with decently good coffee and a range of sandwiches, wraps, and soups. They have a fair amount of space and are one of the few coffee spots open in the mornings on Sunday. I find it to be a great place to relax and get some work done.

Common grounds became the first coffee place I got attached to when I moved to Lexington. There are many different local Ma and Pa varieties of the Starbucks business model in Lexington, and a lot of the chain places like Starbucks. But if you want the best coffee drinks in town, go with the one that has been around longer than the other fly by night places. Common Grounds is the OG in LEX and it is still the best. Prices are super fair, and the quality is always on point. Have never had a problem, and I have been a long time customer, especially the one down town close to Rupp and Indies.....I would be lying if I didn't say there have been many a night I have made the combo Indie's Common Ground run.

It's cute inside! The coffee is really decent. Our food order was wrong, and we were told to sit at a nonexistent table while waiting for it. You have to check on your food order yourself at the counter if you want to drink your coffee anywhere but the few tables in the front room. People hang out and work on computers so a table opening up quickly is unlikely. I understand mask restrictions, but employees could be more tactful with their handling of it and the situations they put customers in. Overall just a subpar experience.
