The staff are very attentive and helpful, clearing plates, bringing out new pizzas, but the pizza options weren't great, fair pizza quality, and breadsticks were always cold. I do like the salad bar options though!

My boyfriend has talked about Godfather's pizza for years. So we finally seen one on our travels and stopped. The pizza was huge! We have lots of left overs. We ordered a combination. It looked like a cheese, olive, and sausage pizza upon arrival. All the ingredients are hid under the cheese. I think it's to cover up the lack of ingredients. I never seen green peppers or onions on it. Had to pull it apart to find a pepperoni. Sauce was a great flavor. Crust was cooked good. Not over cooked. My whole problem lies with the bread sticks. One bite and I tasted cinnamon. They used same pan for Cinnabon's as they did for bread sticks. I'm allergic to Cinnamon. Come on people! How hard is it to keep your pans separate. Will never eat at Godfather's a Pizza again. Smh!

1st time experiencing GF pizza was in Anchorage, AK...1994. By far a superior pie!!! While visiting Lexington, we saw the sign and thought, No Freaking Way (PG version]!!! Phenominal experience with the staff at this location and the pie was as we expected!!! Wish we had a location in Tampa, FL!!!

Wow is all I can say!! This pizza parlor is a hidden gem. We came down today for our mom's birthday lunch. She has been looking forward to this for a while now and just raving about how good they were years ago and was super excited to try this newer place out. I honestly wasn't sure at first. I read reviews and some were great while others were disappointing. But after the first bite into my pizza, man oh man this is the best pizza hands down. They weren't skimpy on the toppings either so you are getting your money worth for flavor and portions. We ordered 2 jumbo pizzas, wings, and cinnamon monkey bread. I was so stuffed and was still trying to get more in. Definitely recommend given Godfather's Pizza a try.

Today coming from Statesville I met my girlfriend that lives in Lexington we went to godfathers pizza in Lexington I walked in the door it's dark and dingy there's a Sign on counter " ring bell for service". We ordered went to get our drinks and the drink is out , it took us telling three ppl to finally get it changed . So much food was sitting on the buffet bar cold . Just looking at it you knew , Its not being held at the right temperature for food safety . I got some pizza tried to eat it but had to take it to manager and ask for some fresh please. After sitting there more ppl started coming in , a party of 6 from Charlotte. No new food was offered. Finally 10 minutes later they put a fresh pizza out . There were NO times or temps on any trays or salad bowls. They have not trained their staff FIFO, first in/ first out . They just pour more dressing on top of the old stuff! The asst mgr comes in to work his shift, finally we are spoken too! Finally the root beer is changed out ! He asks is something wrong ? Your not eating ? My friend tells him how she found mold in the glass container of cheese on table , now she's sick to her stomach. Do you think after all the employees we encounter today and let them know how everything had gone so far, we would get a visit from the person that RUNS the place? You guessed it -----Nope It's pretty sad that this man who says he's the manager and ( part owner) has to be called out to the table for me to tell him the problems with our visit. HE COULD CARE LESS. Colton( asst mgr). Thank you for your time today and with reading these comments the OWNER will do something !!!! I will never go again
First of all. I love Godfathers Pizza and get all nostalgic whenever there's one available because I have fond childhood memories of yummy pizza and summertime pool parties and such. Anyway, this is not one of those stories. On the way back home from a 5 hour road trip we were Yelping for a good cheat meal because we already had popcorn and pancakes today so what the hell. And behold a Godfather's Pizza! A freestanding one! A 4 out of 5 stars one! The GPS was effectively adjusted and off we were with slightly salivated enthusiasm to the restaurant. It's located in a strip and the parking lot was pretty empty. We walk inside and are immediately met with a handwritten note behind a bell that read "please ring for service." Um what? I look up and also notice that the sanitation score hidden behind a door on wood paneled wall is 88.5. Um WHAT?! So an employee comes out and asked what she can get for us and when I asked her why they have that low of a score, she said "oh I don't know. I wasn't here when they went through that." Second of all this is problematic. Not the fact that she wasn't there but the fact that no matter her role, she's an employee and should always know what is required of her to ensure food safety in her job. It doesn't matter if she did it or the person who got fired last week: deflecting is not the answer. I would have preferred (if she truly didn't know) that she at least ask someone. She didn't. And neither did she seem concerned. She told us we could look it up online. We were going to and we did. Right there in the parking lot. See attached picture. Also the place was dingy and filthy. Usually I don't score a place unless I've tried it but nah. I didn't and won't ever.

Horrible experience horrible food. Went in about 1:15 Friday was offered the "buffet" and ordered it. Salad bar was extremely small and out of a lot of items . The pizza bar had a few pizzas out but none fresh. The pasta was dried out. Finally at 1:45 a fresh pizza (1) bearing in mind more people are coming in for the "buffet". At 2:00 they brought out four pizzas. So to recap I will not return and I advise you not to go.

The pizza was good but the service was trash. Walked in and was offered the buffet. He didn't think to tell us the buffet was ending in 10 minutes. So as we had to ask about hot pizza coming out before we found out buffet hours were over.

Godfathers Pizza is some of the best I've ever had, the pieces are very large so it doesn't take much to fill up. I also really like the greasiness of the pizza, not sure if that's just me but the greaser the better.
