Second time this month I drive 10 minutes to the bagel place and they are out of bagels hours before they close. Make more bagels, y’all! They’re good but not good enough to waste my time.

asiago bagel with cream cheese tastes like a wet pretzel with butter. was my first and last time there, teenage cashier with hair in his eyes and bad attitude was zero help with the menu and when I asked if they have any pesto (like panera) three out of the four employees turned around and laughed at me? do yourself a favor and make your own bagels from kroger, i promise they will taste better. not to mention they charge a 5% fee for “employee health and wellness”

I normally eat yogurt or cereal for breakfast. Once in a while, I go for a bagel -- blueberry with cream cheese. Great Bagel has all the variety of bagels and a satisfying breakfast sandwich if I want something of more substance. I was a fan of Great Bagel until I noticed an automatic 5% charge of "employee health & wellness" on my receipt, in addition to the tax and tip. Shouldn't the employers (and not customers) be responsible for its employees' health and wellness? Or shouldn't they be more upfront about this extra charge that gets sneakily tacked on at checkout? As good as their bagels are, this isn't something I can get on board with.

I ordered from this place via doordash. A bagel and 2 ale-8’s. They didn’t include my ale-8’s. Had no problem charging me though.

I was hoping for a great bagel. Need to boil them in some barley malt before cooking. Wasn't chewy like a bagel should be and the prices are way too high.

I have been coming to Great Bagel for about 12 to 18 months. My favorite item is the NYC Sandwich which I usually get on a toasted sesame or plain bagel. The sandwich is always consistently excellent and the order is always ready when I arrive. (I usually order carry out). I occasionally use DoorDash and there have been no problems with delivery. I highly recommend Great Bagel and Bakery (I use the one on Boston Rd./Millpond Shopping Center).

This store is the definition of overpriced and slow service. The food is good but the value isn't nearly what it was years ago. Phony charges like "wellness".
This is a simple bagel place that is close to my neighborhood. Feeling indecisive on our breakfast choices this morning, we opted for bagels (how could you go wrong?). Honestly, cost wise you'll end up paying a similar price to First Watch. We both got a NYC bagel which is compromised of lox, cream cheese, tomato, red onion and capers on a bagel of your choosing. He got a plain coffee and I got a cappuccino. Our total (after tip) was roughly $50. First thing to note is, you don't go here for the coffee. The second thing to note is, those bagels are well filled. It's not a small sliver of lox on these guys they have pieces layered in there with a ton of cream cheese. They are messy. Don't try to be dainty eating them just chow in. I've tried a few bagels from here and NYC has long proven to be my favorite! Will I continue to eat here? Absolutely I'll just choose a different beverage from here on out ^_^

If you're looking for some awesome bagels, this place has it. My brother went here and brought us some bagels and we were surprised how good it was. My husband and I came here and tried their egg sandwich on maple bagel and it was outstanding. As someone who lived in NY for 20 years, these are some good bagels.

Bad business hours, overpriced mediocre bagels, cafe staff is not very attentive to preparation requests, hopefully the service and the quality of the products they serve improves.

The bagels were decent, but everything is severely overpriced. Coffee you pour yourself is $3 and if they make it for you, it’s $6+. Staff was not pleasant to deal with unfortunately. Our order was wrong so had to be remade. There’s a service fee that they don’t tell you about that is added on so the employees can have paid time off, health and wellness, etc. Don't mind that, but would be nice to know that before hand. For two people, two coffee’s (which were not great) it was $30. Won’t return, can get better service and bagels elsewhere.

All I can say is DoubleUTF. A 5% health and wellness fee is added to your already egregiously over priced meal. So now we have to pay for the food and pay the employees ? ? It says this fee is so the employer can provide the employees a health and wellness stipend, paid time off, and other elevated benefits. Simply unreal. Also, this is not told to you beforehand. However, if you are keen enough to read the small memo at the bottom of the menu board it does mention the fee. I know I'm always looking for hidden clues when i go out to eat. FYI, this business is open 5 days a week for 6 hours a day. How much wellness or time off could one need? Here is a thought...take the fee and hire someone to teach the employees how to acknowledge customers when they come in and not look miserable...maybe even crack a smile. I'd say you could just add the fee into your price, but then nobody could afford to eat there, haha! To top it all off, the tip amount option goes to 20 plus percent. Just so blown away by this in general! What is this world coming too??
