Great coffee in the morning and afternoons. Good internet and chill space to do some remote work.

Awesome bar. Olympic athlete serving. Must go.

This dumpy dive deserves less but I wanted to give a review. Horrible experience - the owner or manager was extremely rude and has no skills for business and shouldn't be interfacing with the public

A gem!!! Fun space with games like pool and darts!

Good chill place to hang out with friends. Two pool tables in back helps!

Honestly, the worst I have ever been treated at a dive bar. You can tell from the lack of customers that there is a reason for this. I paid for my drink and a song, tipping well over 50%, had the drink removed and was told "everyone had to go" except for the friends who apparently get special treatment and stay. I never finished my one beer or got to hear the song I paid for, I was assured that they will pay for my next song. I love my neighbors but really, you mess with the local population and expect to stay around... I will listen to my song elsewhere and not return. Don't waste your time, just go across the street to green lantern, at least they give you what you pay for.

Awful experience. Was there last night and had a girl, who was clearly hammered, walk up and shove her hand down the back of my pants. Asked her to leave me alone and she fell back into the bar stools next to me. She wouldn't walk away, so my boyfriend asked to bartender(female, bright red winter jacket) to have this incredibly over-served bar guest leave us alone and she simply replied, " "whatever her name was", These people just don't know how awesome you are!", and walked away. Not acceptable. We abandoned our half finished drinks and left the premises. It was clear whose business the bartender preferred, the fall down drunk girl who was physically assaulting other customers.

This is the first review I have ever written, and it is to warn any and everybody about this place -- the worst bar I have ever been to. I've had many problems with this place, but let me relay what the last straw was and why I will NEVER go back! I went on a Monday a few weeks back to meet up with a friend. First, they had such a slim selection of beer, and everything I tried was not to my liking. They were severely out of stock (and had been for weeks at this point). The main thing though was that the bartender charged SOMEONE ELSE'S TAB ON MY CARD THAT WAS OVER $100! But the receipt I signed was for my tab! And even then I met a dude who wanted to pay for a few of my beers, but the bartender just put it on my tab anyways. Oh, but it gets worse... The bar supposedly opens at 3:00 pm. False. I guess it opens whenever they feel like coming in. The day I saw the charge, I went back to talk to someone about it around 4:30 pm. No one was there. I waited around until a little after 5:00 pm thinking, "Surely they'll be here by 5:00 as people are just getting off of work." Nope. So through some connections, I was able to acquire the owner's phone number. He was out of town. I asked the guy I got his number from who was tending to the bar while he was away, to which he responded, "The bartenders." Really? Seriously?! So I called the owner and left an urgent message explaining what had happened and that I needed a call back ASAP. He never did... So I went to my bank to dispute the charge. This is just ONE of many issues I've had with this place. So ye be warned! And good riddance to this place!!

Reasonably priced drinks but a fantastic, if limited in number, selection of rare bourbons. I had a few rare bourbons (e.g. Elijah 18, Willett 13, Four Roses LE and Elliot Select, etc). Prices ranged from bargain to within reason. I can't wait to go back!

I delivered a pizza here, was wrongfully accused of stealing memorabilia/decor by the owner and the patron that I delivered was telling the owner that if was him he would kick my a*** All in all blames POC for things they didn't do and then has patrons who feel that's it right to threaten their physical well being. I would give a 0 but a 1 is the lowest I could go.

Great bartenders and nice laid back chill local bar. Good for relaxed night with friends and glass of bourbon

Got cussed out by the owner for asking a question about the drink minimum with a card. When I offered to pay cash instead he yelled at me to leave. Never had an issue elsewhere in my whole bar-going life. Never came back.

They are upgrading their brewing equipment so we weren't able to sample their beers. But their owner is the one opening on a Saturday. Cleaning up from the night before. When the owner is apart of the "Grunt" work I'm impressed. It's easy for me to support local when the grunt is also the owner. He was very invested in his business / future product. They'll be up and running with their beer again in March with a 7 barrel system. If your close definitely stop by.

I was here not too long ago late on a Friday, or Saturday night with my girlfriend. The bartender who's name I think was Andy(several visible tattoos) was rude to both of us. He seems to like a name for himself wherever he bartends. I'm from Lexington, and he's been at the Big Blue, and the Old Phoenix Bar(where Hopcats is now), among others. He apparently has short man syndrome, and I'm guessing his family shipped him here from somewhere in the UK, and he has had difficulty getting over being an unwanted child. At any rate the place bills itself a taproom, the night I was there half there beer selection was unavailable. This place has tremendous potential, and the weather side of downtown is going in the right direction, but this plaxe needs new blood. JH
