I am reviewing as doordasher, not a customer so I cannot speak about the food. However, this is the one of the worst places to pick up food from. Staff won't speak to you or even look at you half the time, they just expect you to know which UNLABELED bag belongs to you and has the gall to act inconvenienced if you ask.

I frequent both locations of Local Taco - an excellent Lexington favorite. The location downtown is small and quaint with great atmosphere and frequented by UK students. Location in Hamburg is new and large with ample seating and a large bar. Great, fast service. Some of our favorites are the 2 taco and 2 side deal, or the 4 tacos for $15. Recently we had spicy shrimp, Buffalo, brisket, and southern fried tacos with pinto beans and Mexican rice as sides. All tacos were very good, but I'd say my least favorite was the brisket as it did not have a lot of flavor. Same for the Mexican rice... ended up putting some beans in it to give it a little something extra. I do not care for their salsa, but just a personal preference as I do not care for a lot of cilantro. Restaurant is clean, including the restrooms. Beer selection is decent, although a local favorite from Country Boy brewing was out and they do not carry Miller Lite - even in a bottle - which I find strange as the "Coca Cola" of beer. They did have both Dos Equis on draft which is our preference with this cuisine anyway. Not inexpensive, but reasonably priced for quality ingredients and something different. Highly recommend.

I love both locations of The Local Taco! Their tacos are the perfect size and they have so many great combinations. The flavor is wonderful too, so I HIGHLY recommend trying it out!!

The manager of the S. Limestone location refused to serve 2 of my female friends alcohol despite them being over the age of 21. He was very rude and claimed that they were intoxicated when they clearly were not; although he allowed a man who was stumbling through the restaurant to order a margarita. I am not impressed with the service whatsoever and hope they can improve in this area or I will not ever be back.

A Lexington classic! This place is great. Their queso is to die for, and their lunch and dinner taco specials are hard to beat with the yumminess of their tacos. They're small tacos but I promise those specials will fill you up. Wonderful variety of tacos and other plates. And obviously, you have to have a margarita, which are also fantastic. Service is fast and tables get cleaned up in the blink of an eye so more people can come in and eat. It's always busy and the front of the restaurant has a patio which is great for warmer days. I absolutely love local! The only thing preventing me from 5 stars is the price of chips and queso, guacamole, and/or salsa. To me, it's a stretch for just some chips and dip. But the queso is so good, I turn my head the other way and pretend it's not as expensive as it is.

Fantastic taco shop just walking distance from the student center. My party enjoyed their meal here. They have flavors from all over the country and offer great sides as well. This is a place that should not be missed.

Local Taco is a great place and I always find the food to be excellent, the restaurant clean and full of great staff; I've come to this restaurant since it opened. However, this is the second time now in the last few months that I have experienced a panhandler walk into the restaurant and go table to table asking customers for money while they eat. An employee did confront the man after I inquired and he ultimately left on his own measure (after a customer gave him money, no less). Unfortunately for Local Taco, they are situated in an area with a significant "homeless" presence, so not sure what they can do here, but I hope they read this and take whatever action they can. Not sure how often I'll go to this location in the future after this experience.

The fact that you HAVE to get two sides with the brunch deal and they won't let you get brunch tacos with the regular deal (only one side) is funny sonce THE DINNER AND BRUNCH TACOS COST THE SAME, so why does it matter? And they want to charge you 15% extra to order to go, or you have to bag it up yourself. This place is a joke. Can't say anything about the food cause I'm not going to order stuff from a restaurant at 5x the cost of the food if they refuse to be flexible at all. Call me a Karen if you want, lol.

I'm employed in Hamburg, and I adore this restaurant. I adore the service provided! How quickly the staff members work! I adore the lime or southern chicken tacos. Though sometimes the rice is delicious, other times it's not. Other than that! This place is awesome!
