You order ONLINE so you don't need or have to go in, last 4 times go THROUGH drive thru, no problem. New Young girl just couldn't seem to reach behind her and hand me the bag. Had a long day, if I wanted to go in I would have not went through the trouble of ordering and paying

Captain D's is good for a quick bit to eat. The food is pretty good. But like I said. It's just a temporary meal. It would not be my main meal of the day.

A friend and I went thru the drive thru. I told them to begin with I had 2 ordersThe lady let out a sigh as if I were bothering her. Got to the window and we gave her our money. I told her my friend would like some tartar sauce. When we got our food, before pulling off I asked her did she give us tartar sauce. She said yes. Needless to say there wasn't any. Her attitude leaves allot to be desired. Should not work for the public.It will be awhile before I return

Fish full of grease and absolutely nasty. Hard cold fries.Small portions and the cost is way too high. My fish box opened and it all was in the bottom of the bag. Never again. Black women would barely open the window because it was cold, help is yelling in thebackground. It's a real mess here. Avoid this location.
We had not been to a Captain D's in a while and my wife was wanting some fish and okra. They did not disappoint. Their fish was very good and my wife said the fried okra was the best she had found anywhere in a while. Thank you for the great food!
We went to Captain D's tonight to try out their Sunday/Wednesday Senior specials. We chose the fish and shrimp special. It came with one piece of fish, 4 shrimp, 2 sides, 2 hush puppies and a drink for $5.99. Josiah was at the counter when we walked in. He was welcoming, informative and lit up the room with his smile. The food came out piping hot and very filling. It was a very enjoyable experience.

This Captain D's was the cleanest fast food restaurant I recall having visited. I appreciate how staff and management there provide a clean environment, which seems more and more rare in fast food industry. Yet, I'm not sure if Captain D's is actually fast food because they offer actual meals with vegetables. My friend and I enjoyed an excellent lunch. My grilled fish on bed of rice with green beans and coleslaw was quite delicious. Kudos to the staff there for providing an enjoyable dining experience!

We had not eaten at Captain D’s for a long time and so we were looking forward to going. It was my husband, my sister, my daughter and myself, and we decided to go in and eat. It was not bad when we entered the restaurant the lady that was taking the order was very nice, she promptly greeted us and took our orders. We went to sit down. It did look like the restaurant was a bit on the messy side. However, since Covid things have been hit and miss wherever you go nowadays, so we were not put off by things being out of place. When our food came, you could definitely tell that the fry grease needed to be changed. Our hush puppies tasted like funnel sticks. And the fries were not enjoyable. The fish sandwich that is posted in the pictures is one fillet of battered fish and that is not what you receive for the sandwich. You get two very, long skinny pieces of battered fish. There was an odd smell in the dining area. You could not tell where it was coming from. However, when I answered the woman’s restroom, I could tell that it was from in there. There was a diaper that had been left in the trash bin for several days. And I say a diaper because I am assuming it is a diaper. That is what it smelt like. There were hairs all over the entire bathroom from the toilet to the sink. It was absolutely disgusting in the restroom. I refused to use the restroom. Once I left the restroom and went to sit back down I noticed that the smell had followed me out, and it would not go away. It was that nasty. I will never go to this Captain D’s again. I am pretty certain that the family members that were with me would choose not to go there again either. This Captain D’s needs a complete overhaul. Except for the lady that took our order. That was the only good thing about this dining experience. Even when one of the workers came out of the men’s restroom, and I notified them that the ice machine was spitting out, ice a few feet away from the machine I was afraid someone would slip and fall, he got the wet floor sign, place it over top of my foot Where I was wiping of the liquid on the floor. And went on about his way. The way that he looked I do not believe he should’ve been cooking any food. He was completely unkempt, and long hair was everywhere. I usually try to give businesses the benefit of the doubt. Like I stated before after Covid things have been different at any establishment. But this one did not have a lack of employees from what it looked like. It had a lack of hygiene and people willing to clean up the area. I do not recommend going to this restaurant. I highly doubt that it was just a one time occurrence with everything that seem to be wrong. There’s no way that it was just that day.

My family visited this location during vacation and all of the staff was wonderful. The manager was exceptional and exceeded our expectations. Made sure that we were taken care and made the time to interact with our family. Anytime we are in Louisville will stop here and eat!
