Absolutely the greatest sushi and the best atmosphere. I've been coming here for over 10 years and despite the name change the service has always been great.

Best hibachi/sushi ever it's way better the sake blue and I wish more people knew about this wonderfully place
Grampa Forker
This is the best sushi restaurant I have found in Louisville. Great sushi, good beer, very nice people. Sake Blue just down the street is good and more upscale but the sushi is better here.

The food was amazing. By far mu favorite sushi restaurant in Louisville.

The food was generally pretty good. Our biggest complaint was that the beer was barely cold (probably around 45 degrees).

They gave gyoza ramen which is really all that needs to be said, for me personally. After recently moving back from Japan, where I lived for years, I've been desperate to find good ramen in Kentucky. While I've still never found exactly what I'm missing from Japan, this is the best ramen I've found in Louisville. You can get it regular or spicy. The spicy does have a kick but it's tolerable and enjoyable. I haven't tried the sushi or hibachi yet, but I intend to in the future.
I was first introduced to this spot by my friend who goes here at least every couple months regularly :) I ordered the Viva Las Vegas and Crunch Munch Rolls. They were so delicious! This little Japanese style diner treasure is so cute and has hibachi options as well as regular diner seating tables separate for intimate dates too!

The food is great at reasonable prices. I recommend any of the sushi rolls and my favorite dish is the habachi noodles. Just pick your meat of choice. You can't go wrong. And don't forget the yum yum sauce. So good. The servers are nice and overall the service is pretty good. I definitely would recommend it if you're in the area. Oh and the beer specials are great too.

The building does not look like much and my expectations were not high when trying Kai Lana. First thing, server was good and offered request as he could tell I was unsure of what I would like, and sushi is not cheap so not easy to try new things sometimes. I had eel nigri (sorry if spelling is wrong), which I loved. Eel was something I was afraid to try but it won me over. I also ordered crab Rangoon sushi roll with fresh jalapeno in it, special request the sushi chef agreed to. I have gone back twice since my first visit and everything has been consistent, no complaints.

I love sushi and sometimes it's hard to find a place that serves really good, unique sushi offerings. Kai Lana does just that! They're selection of sushi is almost overwhelming, there are so many options-- but they are incredible. Their hibachi is amazing too! I'm not sure what it is about their chicken and veggies with fried rice, but I eat it up within moments. Their sauce and flavors are outstanding and really make the meal one you can't stop eating! I definitely recommend this place if you're in the area and are looking for good sushi and flavorful hibachi!
