This place has a nice, quiet atmosphere. The general presentation of the restaurant and and food were great. I'd recommend the lemon piccata pasta (add in some chicken or shrimp) or the jambalaya.

First off, let me just say that I am extremely picky about my gumbo. It was good, but not great. Everyone else enjoyed their meals very much. The atmosphere was fine and the wait staff were very friendly. All in all, a good experience.

Arrived at 5 p.m and my friend and I were promptly greeted & seated. We had our drink orders taken and were given the menus to look over. It took us a bit of time to browse through so many delicious options & decide! She ordered the crab cake with grilled vegetables and a Caesar salad. I went with the small wedge salad and a build your own pizza with 1/2 mushrooms and bacon. So good! Our waitress kept our water filled and checked in but didn't impede our catching up and conversation flow which was nice! We both said we need to eat here more often! Wide variety of options to pick from. The dessert menu looked so good but we didn't give in to temptation... this time.

I wasn’t sure what to expect with the location, but the food was absolutely delicious. The dips were amazing, and the shrimp and grits dish was just right.

We have been to Lou Lou several times and enjoy the food and atmosphere. Last evening the service was extremely slow. The server was pleasant, however; she was covering way too many tables. Not her fault.

Great casual dinner with a friend. Very nice selection of wines and cocktails. We shared a 10” pizza, which was perfect for two. Friendly server who helped with selecting a bottle of wine.

A lil bit of New Orleans in Louisville, KY. The food was outstanding and the service matched. The wings were so hot my scalp was sweating! The decor was very NOLA and they even have their version of the Hurricane on the drink menu. The ambience was laid back and ensured that I'm goi g to eat here at least one more time before I leave to try the gumbo and a muffuletta.

Went there with a group of church friends. I picked the spot this month. I asked the group what they thought on the way out and 2 people said " it was a 3.5 out of 5" so I'm rounding up and rating it 4 star. Probably won't be return customers as it is out of the way for us.

Shrimp and grits were great. Creamiest grits ever! Would happily reorder. Hubby's Red Beans and Rice were just okay but not to his taste. Seemed to be missing something in seasoning. Both entrees would benefit by including a simple small green salad. Also wish you could order just a cup of Gumbo. You could then combine it with one of the appetizers for a different meal expert. My homemade Bread Pudding and his Banana Pudding were both excellent. Having been to New Orleans and enjoyed its unique cuisine, I'm so happy to have you here. Server was super. Decor's a bit of a miss at giving one a true Cajun feel (St Matthews location). All in all we look forward to our next visit.

Really great overall. There was a mix up with our order, but the staff really went out of their way to make it right and ensure we had a good experience. Food was great, generous portions and creative menu.
