The food was delicious and our server was fantastic. My complaint is with the female manager and hostess- both were very rude, and made fun of my friend when she accidentally left her debit card in the black payment book. They didn't realize that she was standing behind them when they were making fun of her ☹️ Not great.

Midway Kentucky is a beautiful quaint town with vibrant shops and restaurants. We love spending an afternoon walking around and almost always stop at The Goose and Gander for lunch. It's become a favorite with our family because they have something for everyone. They have entrees like a Kentucky hot brown, fish and chips, meatloaf alongside pizza and sandwiches. They have a beautiful patio outside in front of the restaurant. Inside it's a historic, cozy pub like vibe. We have always received excellent service. Everything we've tried has been delicious. Perfect spot for family, friends or lunch for two. I love supporting these small restaurants with big heart.

Very nice place for a small town experience, I expectedly nice and wide ranging menu. Very helpful and friendly staff. Food was excellent and cost was reasonable.Vegetarian options: Options were available, not many but they were there. Veggie burger was very tasty.Parking: At busier times, parking will be a challenge; anytime during horse racing season, this town is popular. During mid-week, off-season, it's highly accessible. Well worth the drive from Lexington.Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible from the curb to the door. Plenty of room and side, very accommodating staff.

We were brought to this restaurant by a good friend. It was a pleasant evening around 7pm, so we chose an outdoor table, amongst other tables of guests, who also seemed to enjoy the fresh air. Service was quite fast with drinks and entree. We ordered, the meat loaf, friend fish fillet and the bacon cheese burger. All the servings were good size and tasted really good. I really like the flavor and taste of the buger.

Nice lil quiet place. We just so happened to stumble across this restaurant while visiting the art fair in Midway Kentucky . Food and service was great. We both decided to try the angus cheeseburgers which were very good. One of the burgers still had steam coming from it and that was after it was halfway gone. Thats pretty impressive. I tried to capture that in one of the photos. :) Next time we will be trying the pizza.

Waited for more than 40 minutes at 1:30 PM on a Saturday for a patio table. Meanwhile, 4 available unbussed tables on the patio for the entire waiting period, and a 5th table for the last 30 minutes. Multiple employees made multiple (more than 20) empty-handed trips past the tables without bussing (even including the hostess who came out to partially bus a table and stopped to chat with a seated table about their dog instead of using this time to clear table for waiting patrons). Let me say, I am patient and I understand when businesses are busy. However, this was not such an instance. This was a prime example of inefficiency and dawdling of employees.

Outstanding pizza! I recommend the pepperoni with fresh mozzarella, a real taste of NYC. Good side salads, beer list and atmosphere. Prices were very reasonable and service was outstanding. This will be a regular place to visit when in this area (convenient to Woodford Reserve Distillery).

Went with my daughters for my birthday celebration. I made the mistake of ordering the meatloaf. I wish I had sent it back and tried their burger. The meal was also cold Very disappointing.

I went with my husband for a late lunch/early dinner to just get out of the house and enjoy some time together. The only thing we enjoyed were the cheese curds appetizer. Our drinks sat empty for more than half of the time we were there. During all this the manager or owner, I'm not sure what she was because she never came over, was overheard talking down to the entire staff and eating behind the bar instead of helping the overwhelmed staff with their tables. The waitress brought our entrees and said she'd be back with refills and went outside to clear off a patio table instead. She finally refilled our drinks and my husband bit into one of his meatballs and it was cold in the middle. He was obviously displeased and went to tell our waitress about it. He asked her just to take it off the bill and he didn't want anything else. So she want and asked the manager to take it off and still the manager didn't come over and talk to us. My entree was "warm" but only because it was a baked pasta and they finished it in the pizza oven. I understand there are shortages right now, but they were out of potato skins, spinach artichoke dip and my baked penne turned out to be baked linguine. All in all, I would not recommend.
First visit for our party of 4. We all had different menu items. All were delicious. My mushroom swiss burger was big, juicy and delicious. The fried brussel sprouts were perfect. I could eaten only that and been happy. Nice cozy fireplace for a cold day.Highly recommend.

Drove in from Lexington to enjoy the drive on a beautiful day. Grey Goose was one of our favs in Lex before it closed down. My husband and I had 2 side salads, the pesto pizza and 3 drinks for $70. The drinks are way overpriced and we will skip them next time. $10 for a beer is just too much no matter how much you can blame inflation. The pizza was delicious as we expected. Next time I will skip the salad as the dressings weren't very good. Tasted like cheap bottled brands. Now we know what to indulge in and what to skip. Service was good although that $10 beer sat at the bar for almost 10 min before it was picked up and it was not a busy night. May make the drive back someday but not in a huge hurry.

It was amazing, I love a smaller personable place and this place was it. If your looking for something where you can enjoy a drink and your able to have a conversation def check it out. Bartender was great, food was amazing and make sure you get those fries oh man yum!!

I liked this place. I had the beer cheese app and the meatloaf. Both were really good. No complaints about service or atmosphere. They also have a pretty well stocked bar if you are into that.

Charming restaurant with good food, great service, and reasonable prices. We had a party of eight ages 5 to 70 and everybody was happy. Take a day trip to charming Midway and support all of the local businesses!
