Had a little dinner at El Tapatio. The fish tacos were excellent! I'm always a little hesitant about other's fish cooking skills, because if the fish tastes like fish and smells fishy as I take a bite, I'm not going to like it. But the fish tacos were FULL of flavor! (I only wish I had thought to order some fresh guac to go on top.) The frozen margarita was also tasty. Service was great, very attentive. The building could use a little love, but it is old. I think...
El Tap is a fantastic small Mexican restaurant that truly impressed us. I enjoyed a delicious peach margarita and a perfectly crispy beef chimichanga, while my friend had a refreshing watermelon margarita and flavorful enchiladas. Everything was incredibly tasty. Highly recommend!
Love love love El Tapatio! I grew up eating their food and it has always been wonderful and consistent. Staff is always so friendly and welcoming. I’ve moved to Lexington in the past few years and tried to find another authentic Mexican restaurant… none compare to El Tapatio. Every time I come back to Versailles and eat here it’s been an absolute treat. The enchiladas are my favorite!
